J. V. Updike Baptism (1876)

Baptism.

The cause of our blessed Master is still onward on Wyandot circuit, W. O. Lord's day, April 30, 1876, the writer had the privilege of burying twenty-three persons with Christ in baptism. There was a very large crowd of people that came to witness the scene. It was a good time. May the 14th, we had the same privilege at the same place in Sandusky river, at the Indian Mills, of baptizing six happy believers, my wife being one of the number. Praise the Lord there is quite a number to be baptized yet.
