From Wyandot Circuit, W. O. E.

BRO. FORNEY: The past year was a year of prosperity to the Church of God in this part of the country. Many souls have been made to rejoice in a Savior's love. The people have been very kind to me. They have given me many presents. Just before the Eldership Sister Savilla Wents raised me enough money at the Bruce church for a suit of clothes. Thanks to all that gave.

I have been returned to this field of labor for another year. I see that there is an abundance of work on hand. Protracted meetings, meeting houses to build, and the old ones to repair.

The Rock Run and Kirby bethels both need repairing. Whortonsburg, Bruce's, Indian Mills and Eden Center all need houses of worship; and a parsonage is needed. But we can not do all this year.

However, I hope we may have the unanimous co-operation of the brotherhood on the circuit. We also want to get up a greater interest in the Sabbath-school. We would like to keep up the Sabbath-schools all winter, and have our own convention on the circuit about every two months. Since the Eldership I have been all around the circuit, and was received very kindly by all. God only knows what will be accomplished the coming year. In him we put our trust. In the name of our God we will set up our banners. We ask an interest in all the prayers of those that are interested in the welfare of the Church of God. Also pray that I may so live and act, that I may be worthy the respect of all good people.

            Yours with love,
J. V. UPDIKE.
