From Bro. D. S. Warner.

BRO. THOMAS:--

Through the kind providence of God I have been safely brought to the close of my first year in the ministry of the Lord, and having now settled upon my new field of labor, permit myself and companion to express our warmest thanks to the brethren and sisters of Findlay and McComb Circuit, for the great kindness and tender regards we have received all over the circuit. Also for the many valuable gifts we have received at your hands at different times during the year, many of which deserve special acknowledgments. Though this was neglected by us, we feel certain that God will acknowledge the gifts by abundantly blessing the givers.

To the brethren of St. Maries Circuit, I would say that your humble servant feels very much his weakness in entering upon the important charge assigned me by the Eldership, and I earnestly plead for your prayers. A great work is before us. "I can of mine own self do nothing," but the rich treasure of the gospel comes to you "in earthen vessels in order that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us." Pray mightily to the Lord that through the weakness of the means employed, the power of God may be displayed in the conversion of many souls.

Bro. Shock, of the Indiana Eldership, perhaps desires information concerning the two points--Antioch and Union, which belong to the Indiana Eldership, but have for some time been served by West Ohio. I would state that I have quite enough to do without those points: but the brethren think it more convenient for me to preach for them than you; yet if you will serve them, I would be glad to be released, if not, I will try to visit them.

D. S. WARNER.
