From Seward Mission, Neb.
BRO. FORNEY.--I have recently closed a long effort on Lincoln Creek, part of the time in York county and part of the time in Seward county. There were many things in the way of success at that point, and I fear it is partly owing to the fact that I did not labor as diligently as usual that we have not greater results to report. The Lord forgive me. There were some six backsliders restored and a few souls professed conversion. Ten gave the right hand of fellowship, as members of the Church of God. I think this number will be increased ere long. Bro. J. W. Kager preached one night with good liberty and good effect. I pray God that he may speedily give himself fully up to this work, whereunto God hath called him. How much his services are now needed. There are great openings here for the church. Oh, for preachers to possess the land. I am now holding a meeting with the Anderson brethren near Seward. Pray for us.
