Daniel S. Warner From Seward Mission, Nebraska (1875)

From Seward Mission, Nebraska.

BRO. FORNEY: We have just closed a grove meeting on my mission.

We have long felt the necessity of a general rally on my work. The hard times have prevented this.

But now we were in hopes that we could come together with one accord in one place.

But the rainy weather just preceding the meeting greatly disappointed our hopes.

On Sabbath, as many as could, came from the nearest churches, and the Lord blessed our souls. One sister was immersed. Observed the ordinances.

O, how I longed for ministerial help. Wrote to several but no response. I pray the Lord to send more workers, or raise them up here.

Preached three times myself. The Lord stood by me.

I start east this week on a visit. Expect to be at the West Ohio Eldership.

Am in favor of deferring our Eldership until October, or later if it suits others better.

D. S. WARNER.
