LESSON XIII.--SEPTEMBER 26.
THE THIRD QUARTERLY REVIEW.
SUGGESTIONS TO TEACHERS.
The one thought of the Quarter's lesson is Christ. He manifests himself prominently in the following aspects: 1. Christ giving light to the blind, in Lesson I. 2. Christ the Good Shepherd, in Lesson II. 3. Christ the Resurrection and the Life in Lessons III and IV. 4. Christ honored as King, Lesson V. 5. Christ teaching Humility by example, Lesson VI. 6. Christ exposing the traitor, Lesson VIII. 7. Christ teaching and comforting his disciples, Lessons IX, X, XI. 8. Christ praying, Lesson XII. I would suggest that the following subjects be assigned to some of the brighter pupils for three-minute essays: The Good Shepherd; The Resurrection and the Life; The Triumphal Entrance into Jerusalem; The True Vine; Christ's Prayer for Unity.
In the General Review, which should occupy not more than fifteen or twenty minutes, let Christ be brought out in the various aspects indicated in the subjects named above. [220]
