JULY 20

MORNING
They are not of the world, even as I am
not of the world.
E is despised and rejected of men;
a man of sorrows, and acquainted
with grief.--In the world ye shall have
tribulation: but be of good cheer; I
have overcome the world.
Such an high priest became us, who is
holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from
sinners.--That ye may be blameless and
harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke,
in the midst of a crooked and
perverse nation.
Jesus of Nazareth . . . went about
doing good, and healing all that were
oppressed of the devil; for God was
with him.--As we have therefore opportunity,
let us do good unto all men,
especially unto them who are of the
household of faith.
That was the true Light, which lighteth
every man that cometh into the
world.--Ye are the light of the world. A
city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Let your light so shine before men, that
they may see your good works, and
glorify your Father which is in heaven.

EVENING
He that is of a merry heart hath a
continual feast.
HE joy of the LORD is your strength.--The
kingdom of God is not meat
and drink; but righteousness, and peace,
and joy in the Holy Ghost.--Be filled
with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves
in psalms and hymns and spiritual
songs, singing and making melody in
your heart to the Lord; giving thanks
always for all things unto God and the
Father in the name of our Lord Jesus
Christ.
By him . . . let us offer the sacrifice of
praise to God continually, that is, the
fruit of our lips giving thanks to his
name.
Although the fig tree shall not blossom,
neither shall fruit be in the vines;
the labour of the olive shall fail, and the
fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall
be cut off from the fold, and there shall
be no herd in the stalls: yet I will
rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God
of my salvation.--Sorrowful, yet alway
rejoicing.--We glory in tribulations also.
