OCTOBER 12

MORNING

God was in Christ, reconciling the world

unto himself, not imputing their
trespasses unto them.

I T pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; and, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself.--Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil.--Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity?

Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace.--Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.--LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.

Phi. 2. 12, 13.--Is. 26. 12.

EVENING

Thy kingdom come.

I N the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.--A stone . . . cut out without hands.--Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.--The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God. So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; and should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

Be ye . . . ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

The Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come.
