This online edition of THE MODEL CHURCH by Brother G. C. Brewer is dedicated to the memory of our parents, Floyd and Lola Lollar and to Turner and Julia Brown.

      It is offered as a history of the churches of Christ teachings in the time period of their lives, 1895-1993. Every attempt has been made to copy all of the words Brother Brewer wrote, but the format may differ slightly from the original text. It does not necessarily reflect the viewpoint of many modern day churches of Christ on all issues, particularly those of matters of opinion regarding the methods of implemention of certain rituals. It is our hope that it will be read as a history and that much careful thought will be given to the teachings contained therein. It should be noted that the graphical text contained Chapter I in the original could not be reproduced as written, but the authors of the diskette have attempted to convey the meaning by textual methods. There is a danger within many of the churches of Christ of today that many of the principles contained therein will be ignored.
