Enoch Clifton Browning was born July 18, 1836, in Hancock county, Ills. Spent the time until 18 years of age on a farm. Did much studying at home. Attended school at a seminary in Knox county, Ills., taught a number of years. Later attended Abingdon College. Came to Missouri in 1867. Preached extensively in the north-east part of the state, also at Butler, Bates county, and surrounding country, Princeton and Cape Girardeau and through the southeast part of the state. In October, 1897, he came to Arkansas and took the position of Corresponding Secretary and state evangelist, in which work he is engaged at this writing. His home is at Little Rock. |
