WILLIAM E. ELLIS.
      Born in Shelby county, Kentucky, May 10, 1861. His early life was spent on a farm in that county. In 1882 he entered Eminence College, graduating from this institution in 1886; in 1890 he graduated from the College of the Bible, Lexington, Ky. He began at once preaching the gospel; preached for the church at Glasgow, Ky., one year and a half; Stanford, Ky., four years; Linden St. Church, Memphis, Tenn., two years, and for the last six years has been with the Vine St. Church, Nashville, Tenn.
