W. J. Lhamon, Dean of the Bible College
of Missouri, was born on the 16th of September,
1855. At seventeen years of age he
was a teacher of a public school in Knox
county, Ohio. He graduated from Butler College,
then Butler University, in the class of
'79. The following year he took post-graduate
work in the same institution, and received his
A. M. degree. He has held ministries in
Indianapolis, Indiana; Ada, Lima, and Kenton,
Ohio; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Toronto, Ontario;
and Allegheny, Pennsylvania. In 1901
he was called to his present position.
He is the author of the following books, namely: "Studies in Acts," "Missionary Fields and Forces of the Disciples of Christ," and "Heroes of Modern Missions." He is a frequent contributor to our periodical literature, and has been for several years a regular contributing editor of the Christian Standard, in Cincinnati, Ohio. |
