Born Bloomington, McLean Co., Ill.; reared on
farm; took Bible Degree at Eureka College; completed
elocution, scientific and classical courses,
Valparaiso, Ind.; minister-evangelist; served
Mishawaka and Elkhart, Ind.; his chief success
has been as an evangelist and in assisting congregations
to pay off heavy indebtedness--a "debt
lifter."

Born Angola, Ind., April 2, 1846; united with
church of Christ at Flint, Ind., Feb. 2, 1864; enlisted
in the army of the rebellion Jan. 25, 1865,
and served until the close of the war. Has served
as an elder at Alexandria and Elwood, Ind., for
a period of twelve years. Present residence is
1801 North C. Street, Elwood, Ind.
