Born in Springfield, O., 1837, and removed to
Muncie, Ind., in 1839; with the exception of two
years he has lived in Muncie and has grown up
with the city. In the year 1876 he accepted Christ
and was made a member of the First Church
under the good teaching and preaching of his beloved
friend and brother, W. W. Witmer, and since
that he has been in close touch with the prosperity
of the church.

Academy 1857-59; ordained to ministry 1871.

Pittsburg, Pa., since 1892. Married Miss Nettie
Kensel, Lexington, Ky., who at Geelong, Victoria,
organized first Christian Endeavor Society
in Australia, in 1883.

Webster and Hopkins counties; minister
Lawrenceburg, Ky.; minister Valdosta, Ga.; Ellenton.
S. C.; Athens, Ga.; Llano, Texas. Now
located at Tyler, Texas.
