Died:
Came with his father's family to Illinois in 1852. Educated in common
schools, Steele's Seminary, Indiana Normal, and graduated in law at
McKendrie College. He has taught in high schools twenty years, been
frequently engaged in newspaper work and has preached the gospel as
well.
