Biographical Sketch of Nathan E. Cory

Mr. Cory attended the Baptist College at Franklin, Indiana, and Oskaloosa College, Iowa. He was a lay preacher in the Methodist Church before uniting with the Christian Church in 1857. Besides holding a great number of meetings in Illinois, he served the churches at Monmouth, Virginia, Mt. Sterling, Barry, Colchester and Augusta. He has been a faithful preacher of the word of God and his ministry has always been constructive. Between four and five thousand people were added to the church in Illinois by his labors. He is father of A. E. Cory, a missionary in China.
