Born: Oldham County, Kentucky, 1824.
Died: Paris, Illinois, 1899.

Was a fine farmer, stockman and banker in Edgar County. He was active in raising the Seventy-ninth Illinois Volunteer Infantry, in which he served as captain of Company H. He was a member of the Twenty-eighth General Assembly, served as county clerk in Edgar and as mayor and postmaster at Paris. He was a member of the congregations at Kansas and Paris.
