Born: Batavia, New York, 1819.
Died: Rockford, Illinois, 1888.
Educated in the public schools and by the light of his own farm fireside. Grew into the eldership and an earnest ministry. For twenty-five years he preached up and down the Rock River, fifteen of which were given to the Rockford Church. A dozen counties in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin were blessed by his consecrated life. He was greatly loved by many for his fine character and work.
