REV. JOHN RAMSAY.
EV. JOHN RAMSAY was present at the Virginia
Valley Conference in 1841, and was invited to a seat
in the body. This Conference met at Antioch, in Rockingham
county. In 1842, he was received into the Virginia
Valley Conference from the Central Conference of
Ohio, as a full and regular member. The meeting of the
Conference was held this year at the Christian chapel
in Hampshire county. Here he was appointed to supply
the Alleghany circuit. At the Conference in Bedford
county, Pennsylvania, he was found to be in good standing,
and was assigned to the Alleghany circuit to ride
east of the Siding Hill. He was appointed a messenger
to the Pennsylvania Conference.
