Lessons on Romans, 2nd Edition (1953)

ABOUT THE ELECTRONIC EDITION.

The electronic edition of Robert H. Boll's Lessons on "Romans" and Grace and Obedience, 2nd ed. (Louisville, KY: Word and Work, [1953]) has been produced from a copy of the book held in a contributor's collection. The study-commentary was first published as a series of Lessons in Word and Work, vols. 31-33 (January 1937-April 1939); it was issued as a pamphlet in that same year. "Grace and Obedience" first appeared in Word and Work 33 (June 1939), pp. 128-131; it was also published separately as a tract in that year. Revised Lessons were published in Word and Work, vols. 46-47 (January 1952-June 1953). The second edition was presumably issued in 1953; no advertisements for the pamphlet have been located. The address of the publisher is given on the title page as "2518 Portland Avenue, Louisville 12, Kentucky"; the editorial offices were moved to that location in 1952.

Pagination in the electronic version has been represented by placing the page number in brackets following the last complete word on the printed page. Inconsistencies in spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and typography have been retained; however, corrections have been offered for misspellings and other accidental corruptions. Emendations are as follows:
