The last issue of "Open Forum" published by Bill Forman, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, was very helpful.... Brethren at Gerald (Mo.) announce an all day meeting with basket dinner on June 16.... James Mabery sends us a copy of the interesting bulletin put out at Madison, Florida. We sympathize with Ray Hunt, Tecumseh (Mo.) in the loss of his father.... Jesse Robison, Webster Groves (Mo.) suffered a stroke of paralysis.... James Graddy writes from Thule Air Base in northern Greenland, that the paper is very thought-provoking.... Brethren at Oak Hill Chapel, St. Louis, have notice of the receipt of parcels in Salzburg, Austria, sent for distribution to Hungarian refugees.... H. A. Boring writes an interesting letter about the cause at Monroeville (Penn.).... Arthur and Beverly Hembree, Kansas City (Mo.) have a son, Brad Eugene, born March 23.... Elmer Scott, who was visiting St. Louis from California, was hospitalized with acute pneumonia.... Carlton Melling has been appointed librarian at Hindley, Wigan, Lancashire, England. He is editor of the Scripture Standard.... The editor spoke at Mexico (Mo.) March 30, 31. He was accompanied by Charles Martin and Norman Brooks.... Robert and Allen Phillips visited the congregation at Louisiana (Mo.) March 31; James Atkins and Allen Hector visited the congregation at Gerald (Mo.) April 7. All are members at Oak Hill Chapel, St. Louis.... The elders at Lillian Avenue, St. Louis, have worked out a study on the subject of the millenium, for discussion on Tuesday nights.... The editor has spoken five times at Wood River-East Alton High School auditorium by arrangement of the Hartford (Ill.) congregation.... The Comet Press has brought out a beautiful book of poems by Roy Harris.... C. Emmett Smith writes that he is conducting a song study at Speedway (Ind.) with the new song books, and that he conducted a similar study at New Castle in December. Two were added recently at Speedway.... More than 100 persons attended an all day study at Festus (Mo.) April 6.... The editor spoke at Flat River (Mo.) April 5, 6, and at Farmington, April 7.... Brethren at Flat River are in the process of completing their new brick church building.... William Hensley reports evangelistic activity at Unionville (Mo.) with both public and home studies each week.... E. B. Herndon, Denver (Colo.) says the heavy fall of snow was a real blessing.... We regret to learn that Sister Sankey, Compton (Calif.) sustained a slight heart attack.... A singing was held at Compton on April 7.... The congregation at Phoenix (Ariz.) reports 5 added recently.... Carl Cassell, Bill Nicoll and Lew Flory, of California, assisted at Phoenix on March 18. Bro. Brumback closed his study there March 29.... Bill and Dixie Rogers, Chillicothe, Missouri announce the birth of a daughter, Marieta Jane, March 19. Vernon and Norma Griffin, Jameson, Missouri announce the birth of a son, James Skinner, March 26. Both of the new arrivals are grandchildren of Irven and Alice Skinner, who worship at Old Scotland congregation.... We are sorry to report the death of two Sisters in Christ: Thelma Felzein, at Portland, Oregon; Theora Poe, a charter member at Canalou, Missouri.... We are glad to be informed that Bro. Homer Boren, Nebo, (Ill.) is improving, after having sustained a broken hip.... J. D. March 24.... Fred Randel, Lewis (Kansas) enjoys all of the good articles. The Pomona (Calif.) congregation has been studying the qualifications of elders at their midweek meeting. Clarence and Ruth Cassell of Pomona celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary recently.... Earl Fiscus says he does not want to miss an issue of the paper. He is at West Riverside (Calif.) Thanks to Loren OttweIl, Pittsfield (Ill.) for five subscriptions. He says the congregation at Louisiana (Mo.) is growing spiritually.... We regret to report the death of Sister Elizabeth Gray (wife of the late T. L. Gray) who passed away March 25. Wilford Landes conducted funeral services for her at Carrollton (Mo.).... Wilford Landes has been teaching with reference to the qualifications and work of elders recently, both at Kansas City (Mo.) and Lawrence (Kans.). . .
