Stuart and Roberta Shelton, Compton (Calif.) have a daughter, Patti Rae, born April 6.... Tom Higginbotham, St. Petersburg (Fla.) enjoys the paper immensely.... Eva Vaughan, Salem (Mo.) sends five gift subs and says she appreciates the enlightening articles in the paper.... Mrs. D. B. Pitts (Texas) sends 5 subs with an encouraging letter.... Emmett Powers, Stockton (Calif.) ordered 1000 tracts for use when they move in their new building.... We now have a new tract "The Biggest Little Word" which we can send you for $7.50 per thousand, plus postage. Bro. Powers also requests us to mention the thanks of his wife, and of his daughter, Lynn, to all who sent words of cheer during the period when both were recovering from surgery.... Leroy Garrett has recently been teaching English in the Dallas schools.... We would like to send you a copy of "The Christian System" by Alexander Campbell. The price is $3.00 per copy.... Vesper B. White (Calif.) says "The Royal Priesthood" should be digested by every person. She enjoys the series "That They All May Be One" as well as the articles by Bro. Loney.... Carlton Melling (England) says he still enjoys MISSION MESSENGER as much as ever.... The editor was privileged to attend Bible study at Martensdale, Iowa, April 25.... On April 14, 5 members from Oak Hill Chapel (St. Louis) attended at Hartford (Ill.); on April 28, five attended at Louisiana (Mo.); on May 5 five were at Womack (Mo.) and 5 at Gerald (Mo.); and on April 28 there were 24 from Webster Groves at Gerald. This is part of an attempt to share in the fellowship of smaller congregations and to derive benefits from a mutual exchange of thought. Wilburn and Pauline Roberts, Arab (Ala.) are adopting a baby boy, Carl LaDon.... Harold and Carroll Sloan, Decatur (Ill.) have a little daughter, April Jill, born March 25.... Mrs. J. C. Lowry, Decatur (Ill.) writes of interesting home studies taught by Ray Turner and K. C. Nelson.... The Dallas study has been advanced a week and will start June 22, and will consist of training for personal testimony for Jesus during the day and a tent meeting at night. It is intended for young people who wish to get more training and experience in talking with people about Jesus. Responsible leaders will train in house to house visitation. All are welcome.... Thanks to O. M. Blackorby (Mo.) for 10 subs, and T. W. Porter (Mo.) for a like number.... Chester Shearer, of Reedley (Calif.) now gets his paper at Fort Clayton in the Canal Zone.... I appreciate a letter from Clifford Marteney (Kansas) setting forth some unique and helpful thoughts on the clergy system.... Bro. E. M. Zerr will not make any additional outside commitments for teaching, but as one of the bishops at New Castle (Ind.) will be supported by the congregation to labor in word and doctrine. . . Bro. Harold Baines, Morley, Yorkshire, England was sufficiently recovered from coronary thrombosis to be able to give a talk on "Work Among Young People" at the spring conference of brethren in Great Britain.... Bernie Crum spoke at Lyons (Ind.) April 21, and will be in a two weeks meeting at Mount View, near Iberia (Mo.) June 2 - 9.... Hershel Ottwell will conduct a two weeks study at Bridge congregation, near Dexter (Mo.) in August. The subject will be "Church Government." . . . Lloyd Wood, who is stationed in England, attended the anniversary meeting at Eastwood, where Bro. Winstanley was scheduled to be one of

the speakers.... Robert Brumback reports 2 immersed during his study in Anderson, Indiana.... The congregation at Gerald (Mo.) has an all day meeting scheduled for June 16.... Brethren at Flat River (Mo.) will have open house for their new building, June 16, and will begin a meeting with W. Carl Ketcherside, the same date.... Bert Cain, L. B. Ketcherside, and Milton Woodruff were speakers at the annual all day meeting at Webster Groves (Mo.).... The Overland (Mo.) congregation distributed 1000 tracts on May 5; the Oak Hill Chapel congregation put out 2000 on May 12.... We are pleased to hear from Sister Darroch at Kirkcaldy, Scotland, that Bro. Dave Mellis is able to attend most Lord's Day meetings although confined to an invalid chair as a result of a stroke.... Owen Taul, Canalou (Mo.) enjoyed the article "Wild Grapes." He reports a good meeting at Canalou on April 29 with basket dinner served at noon and a panel discussion in the afternoon.... Arnold Hintz, Spokane (Wash.) says he liked our article on "The Spirit and Liberty."... An Iowa elder writes that it is difficult to get the membership to do much of anything that calls for a little effort or inconvenience. He thinks they need to be jolted out of the trance they are in and made to recognize the signs of the times.... Farrell Marler and Valerie Faenger were married at Bonne Terre (Mo.) May 3. You are all invited to the 33rd annual all-day meeting at Bonne Terre (Mo.) on June 9. Basket dinner will be served at noon. Jim Mabery will be one of the speakers.... One added at Canalou (Mo.) May 5.... Marvin Scherbarth (Calif.) says "The Royal Priesthood" is full of truth.... Mrs. Lillie Paisley especially likes the articles "That They All May Be One."... Three added recently at Pomona (Calif.).... Henry Boren writes that he likes the general tone of the writings in recent months.... Nancy D. Skaggs says she can hardly take time to eat when the paper comes until she has read it through. She lives at Springfield (Mo.).... Dewey and Pauline Copeland, Valdosta (Georgia) were so excited about the new grandson born to their daughter, Lynda, April 27, they forgot to tell us the name of the baby. We understand! We are grandparents also! By the way, had you heard that Jim and Ina Lee Mabery have another baby girl? Sorry, we haven't learned the name of their baby either.... Thanks to Mrs. E. V.
