     We regret to report the tragic death of Keith Dennis, 15 years old, of Mount Ayr, Iowa, who was drowned near Summersville, Missouri, while attending a study being conducted by his uncle, Tom Dennis.... Bernie Crum reports exceptionally good crowds at Mount View (Mo.) congregation during his meeting. Bernie will be at Etterville (Mo.) Aug. 1-10. He was with brethren at Ore Branch, near Bloomfield (Ind.) July 7-13, following a vacation study at Bridge, near Dexter (Mo.).... We are grieved by report of the drowning of Kermit Trinkle, aged 19, who met death in a lake on the home farm near Burlington (Kentucky).... Thanks to E. B. Herndon (Colo.) for 6 subs., and Mrs. R. W. Sterner (Neb.) for 10.... The Toronto (Canada) library reports that "Thirty Years a Watchtower Slave is one of ten books most frequently loaned. We will mail you this startling expose of Jehovah's Witnesses for $2.95.... Mabel Schrock (Kansas) says they would not want to get along without the MISSION MESSENGER.... The A. G. Klapp family, stationed at Old Hunstanton, Norfolk, England have been enjoying association with brethren we know and love in Great Britain.... Vincent Beck, Athabasca, Alberta, Canada, says he has enjoyed and benefitted from reading the paper.... Lloyd Riggins was with Oakland (Calif.) congregation in June, following which he labored at Carmichael and Reedley. Bob Murry accompanied him in some of this work.... The Compton (Calif.) bulletin reports one immersed during June.... Ivan Jameson, Tampa (Florida) says that "The Royal Priesthood" is well written and thought provoking, although he is not prepared to accept some of the conclusions contained in the book.... Our aged brother, J. Holmes, Goole, Yorkshire, England, says it is a grand book in every way, and an education in itself of the divine revelation through the ages.... A large crowd attended the monthly singing at Pomona (Calif.) June 2. Two were added by membership transfer on June 9.... Carl and Glenda Scruggs of St. Louis (Mo.) have a new baby boy; Laddie and Louise Stevens have a new baby girl.... Lee Wright and Ruby Hansen conducted a vacation study in Red Cloud (Neb.).... Lloyd Humphrey and Beulah Rowden were married June 28; Gerald Phillips and Jo Ann Ferkel were married June 29. All are members in Saint Louis.... There is a great field for pure Christianity in New Zealand. Will any of the brethren volunteer to go, and will congregations support them to do so?... C. R. Lewis (Texas) says that "History of the Church Through the Ages" by Robert Brumback is the most interesting book outside of the Bible that he has ever read. We will mail you a copy for $5.... Charles Palowski (Colorado) says the book "The Royal Priesthood" is wonderful.... Thanks to Clifton Mabery (Mo.) for five subs.... Bernie Crum (Mo.) thinks the article "Brethren in Slavery" ought to be made into a tract, as it is the best he has read on the subject of smoking. . . Bro. Sidwell writes from Montana that the paper has some fine reading and some that is not so good.... Mrs. Pearl Money reports an interesting Bible study at Oblong (Ill.) conducted by Hershel Otwell.... One added at Bonne Terre (Mo.) and five at Flat River (Mo.) recently.... L. E. Ketcherside is going to use visual educational methods in his teaching, especially slides and film strips.... Ray and Mildred Wofford, St. Louis, have a new baby girl.... Vernon Hurst has just completed a meeting at Vandalia (Ill.).... Ellis Crum is taking orders for the next edition of the new song book.... Melvin Short spoke at Manchester Avenue, St. Louis (Mo.) July 7, at the morning service; Bob Johnson was the speaker at night. Melvin lives at Des Moines (Iowa) and Bob at Toledo (Ohio).... On July 7, Leroy Garrett of Dallas (Texas) spoke at Hartford (Ill.); Norman Estep of Nixa (Mo.) spoke at Flat River; Stanley Carpenter of Anderson (md.) spoke at Farmington (Mo.); and Jerry Richards of Dallas (Texas) spoke at Bonne Terre (Mo.)... Mary Hendren reports that William Hendren proclaims the gospel each Sunday evening at the Ballygomartin meeting place in Belfast (Ireland) while Charles Hendred and Joe Hamilton share that task at the Berlin Street location.... Carlton Melling reports six immersed at Wigan, in Lancashire, England, among them his own son, Douglas.... Harold Baines, Morley, Yorkshire, England, writes a good and encouraging letter for which we are humbly grateful.... Lloyd Riggins is engaged in work in Illinois and Missouri this summer.... Fred Killebrew's schedule includes Arab, Ala., July 17 - 26; Sullivan, Ill., July 3 - Aug. 2; Marshall, Missouri, Aug. 6 - 16, followed by two months in Portland, Oregon.... Nancy Gingrich gives a good report on the basket dinner at West Riverside, and the song fest at Riverside, California, July 7. Bob Duncan has been working in that area.... Five families in the Kansas City congregations were victims of the tornado which struck there.... We regret to report that Ray Hyatt, of Kansas City, suffered a severe heart attack.
