Roy Loney announces that he will begin a new series of tracts in letter form dealing with "The Bible" as he has completed the first series on "Man." Paul Duren writes that Fred Killebrew held a good tent meeting on Gunters Mountain, close to Guntersville (Ala.).... We regret to announce that our aged brother, A. W. Harvey was taken to Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis (Ind.) on July 13, as the result of paralysis.... Ora Kelley (Conn.) says they sure enjoy the paper each month and asks us to keep up the good work.... Hershel Ottwell has recently concluded work with the Bridge congregation, near Dexter (Mo.).... Wilford Landes held a tent meeting at Aquila, near Bloomfield (Mo.).... Jim Mabery has been holding a development class for personal workers at Flat River (Mo.) on alternate Thursday nights.... Our brother, John Neff, of Flat River, sustained injury in a fall from a ladder.... We regret to hear that Millard Van Deusen, now stationed at Washington (D. C.) sustained a heart attack, and examination proved that his condition was complicated by diabetes.... Art Freeman has an Elliott rotary hand feed addressing machine, convenient for addressing envelopes as well as periodicals. Are you interested in purchasing one? The congregation at Pomona has bought a lot in Ontario (Calif.) with a view to planting a congregation there when possible.... E. M. Smith is moving from California to 11240 West Colfax, Lakewood 15, Colorado.... Edward Smith announces that Gerald Hadley will work with the brethren at Galesburg (Ill.) this fall.... We are sorry to report that Ray Hyatt, Kansas City (Mo.) suffered a coronary attack and was hospitalized there.... The editor has just completed work at Beech Grove (Ark.).... Delwyn Thompson and family of Spokane (Wash.) spent their vacation in the St. Louis area, where he assisted several of the congregations.... Clif and Nina Collinge, Ottawa (Kans.) have a daughter, Beverly Ann, born July 27.... Ted and Evelyn Ratliff, Buffalo (N. Y.) have a daughter, Gail Denise, born Aug. 9.... Webb and Gertrude Perry, Light (Ark.) write that they love the paper and it gives them food for the soul.... Thanks to Clifton Mabery, Bonne Terre (Mo.) for 22 subs for the paper. Clif is one of the elders at Bonne Terre. We wish more elders would follow his example of sending in subscriptions.... A Canadian couple in subscribing tell us they recently became Christians through the glory and grace of God after having been reared in the Roman Catholic faith. God bless them for their courage.... Fern Vaughn reports from southern Missouri that Tom Dennis recently closed meetings at Ink and Flat Rock (Mo.) and that the fellowship of these places with Summersville and Hartshorn was heart-warming to all. Three were immersed into the Lord.... The editor immersed two during the meeting at Beech Grove (Ark.).... Bernie Crum reports baptizing Coleman Westerfield, 78 years old, at Canalou (Mo.) and we rejoice that our old friend has accepted the Christ.... We regret to report that Bro. Luther McGowan sustained a heart attack after attending services at Compton (Calif.) on July 14.... Nell Maynard writes from Central City (Ken.) that she thinks the book of Church History by Robert Brumback is one of the finest works she has ever read, and that every Christian ought to have one. We will mail you a copy for $5.... C. R. Turner was in a training session and Bible study at Farmington (N. Mex:) until August 25, following which he was at the Labor Day meeting at Denver. He will conduct a study at Pueblo, September 4-17 on the subject of "Church Government" and all who wish to attend should call Ashley H. Elson, 1709 East 7th St., Pueblo, Colorado and make arrangements at once.... The brethren in south Missouri are purchasing lots at Bismarck (Mo.) with a view to planting the work there.... L. E. Ketcherside says he wants a buddy in two weeks work at Gerald, Missouri, starting September 22. No guarantee of food or remuneration. You will sleep on an army cot at the place of meeting. The ability to lead singing will help. You will have to walk and distribute circulars. Do you want to work? Write to L. B. at 306 North Main, Farmington, Missouri.... We have an interesting letter from Bro. Val Males, New South Wales, Australia, who has been reading the paper. He and his family meet in their home.... Burl Price, J. D. Phillips, Vernon Hurst and Maurice Howard all spoke at a meeting at Vandalia, Illinois, where Vernon was engaged in a tent meeting.... Burl Price and wife, Pana (Ill.) are adopting three little girls who are sisters. The children range in age from 18 months to four years old. They will have a real home with a fine daddy and mother.... Do not forget the Bible Study conducted by the editor in Shelbyville (Ill.) during the first week of December.... Maurice Howard closed a good meeting at Pana (Ill.) on June 20.... The congregation at Overland (Mo.) will have a two day meeting on November 30, December 1, with special emphasis upon the work of young people. Arrangements are made to provide food and lodging for those who stay over on November 30.... We regret to hear of the serious illness affecting several members at West Riverside (Calif.) but rejoice at the improvement shown by Essie Pace and Judith Fiscus, both of whom underwent surgery in July....
