     Hershell Ottwell held a profitable series of meetings at Oblong (Ill.) the first two weeks in October.... Mrs. Mabel Westmoreland (Ill.) enjoys the paper a great deal.... Thanks to F. L. Rosebery (Iowa) for five subs.... Wilford Landes immersed 16 in his meeting at Pollock (Mo.) and 11 of them were from the class of young people taught by Lloyd Schoonover. Wilford held a meeting at Stull (Kans.) Nov. 3-15.... The 59th and University congregation in Des Moines (Iowa) gave their building a face-lifting remodeling job, for about $7,000.... Kenneth Van Deusen spoke twice at Independence (Mo.) Oct. 13.... Walter Acree, Palmdale (Calif.) underwent an operation on his eye recently.... Cora Guthrie (Ind.) likes the paper a lot.... The congregation at Nevada (Mo.) held a fellowship meeting, Nov. 9 and 10. Paul Ketcherside was chairman of the meetings, and Leroy Garrett was one of the speakers.... Thanks to Virgil Stevens (Mo.) for five subs.... Mr. and Mrs. Percy Pascoe, Steelville (Mo.) have a baby boy; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hogencamp, St. Louis (Mo.) a baby girl; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mallett, Lewis (Kans.) a baby boy, Mark Edward; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hawbaker, Decatur (Ill.), a baby girl, Brenda Jean.... Bro. William Hendren, Belfast (Ireland) requests us to notify you that none of the money being solicited in the United States for work in Belfast is going to congregations at Berlin Street, or Ballygomartin Road, in that city, as these have never requested money from America to carry on their work.... We are saddened by the death of Bro. W. R. Clark, Unionville (Mo.).... Robert Brumback recently worked with the congregation at Mount Ayr (Iowa).... Jim Mabery held a two weeks meeting at Bonne Terre (Mo.).... E. M. Zerr spoke at Flat River (Mo.) one night during his visit to churches in the St. Louis area.... While at Unionville, Missouri, for the funeral service of our aged brother, W. R. Clark, the editor was privileged to visit briefly with Tom Dennis, Robert Brumback, and C. R. Turner. The latter reports good interest in his work at Gallatin, and increasing interest at Corydon, Iowa.... Brethren at both Kirksville and Unionville tell of increased interest in the congregation, and we rejoice with them.... L. E. Ketcherside is engaged in a series of Monday evening investigations of the claims of Jehovah's Witnesses. The discussions are open for full audience participation.... W. A. Sluder and wife report one added by membership transfer in their meeting with Lee Wright, at Greensburg (Kansas). They also state they enjoyed the Labor Day meeting at Nowata (Okla.) a great deal.... Percy Faenger reports four baptized at Bonne Terre (Mo.) during the meeting held by Jim Mabery.... Louis Martin reports hearing the tape recording of the speech by Leroy Garrett on "Fellowship" and the one by the editor, on "The Indwelling Spirit" as given at Nowata.... We regret to learn that Cleona Harvey, Indianapolis (Ind.) sustained a painful injury in a fall.... Darrell Bolin has just completed work at New Liberty and Hammond (Ill.) and will begin a new series of studies at Mount Eagle (Penn.) on January 4.... We learn that G. P. and Helen Adams, of Sullivan (Ill.) have twin boys, Ronnie and Robert, born the latter part of July.... Robert and Darlene Phillips, St. Louis (Mo.) have a daughter, Patricia Gayle, born Nov. 1.... E. W. Smith reports from Galesburg (Ill.) that the meeting scheduled with Gerald Hadley had to be discontinued after one week due to illness in his family at Nashville (Tenn.) but it is planned for him to return in the spring. During his stay in

Galesburg, Gerald visited 255 homes, and had arranged three home studies, and Bro. Smith commends his efforts very highly.... Albert Winstanley began a nine night mission at Hindley (England) Nov. 2. He writes: "Bro. Zerr's 'Word Studies' deserve commendation. His point on the difference between interpretation and translation needs stressing."... Roy Loney, 927 Louisiana, Lawrence, Kansas, has two new mimeographed articles, entitled "The Forgotten Man," and "Spiritual Sputniks" which you may obtain by writing to him. These will be sent free, but Bro. Loney will appreciate your financial assistance on his printing work.... R. A. Ditto now lives at Hurst, Texas. He is a former elder at 26th and Spruce Street congregation in Kansas City, Mo. The article by Bro. Zerr on our first page is a reprint from the Macedonia Call and first appeared several years ago. Thanks to M. E. Malone (Ill.) for 5 subs.... Patricia Schlieper and James Schiber were married at Hartford (Ill.) Nov. 8.... We are pleased to learn that the condition of Bro. A. W. Harvey, Bloomington (Ind.) is somewhat improved. He is able to sit up some although his motor nerves are affected as a result of his stroke.... Albert Winstanley was scheduled to labor at Ilkeston (England) after finishing his mission at Hindley.... Be sure to send in your renewal promptly....
