Thanks for a fine work."...Borden Higgenbotham began a meeting at West Concord (Mo.) Nov.17.... We regret to learn that Grandma Bailey, Chillicothe (Mo.) sustained a broken hip.... Mrs. Newell C. Oaks (Penn.) says they enjoy the good articles and would not want to be without the paper.... We are sorry to learn that Sister J. D. Phil- lips, Austin (Texas) has had to undergo repeated surgery.... Albert Winstanley reports from East Ardsley, Yorkshire (England) that Bro. Wintersgill, still preaches regularly, although he is now 88 years old. He is a wonderful brother and servant of the Lord.... Leroy and Ouida Garrett have taken two more homeless children, making three they have now adopted.... We were grieved to learn that both Bro. and Sister King, Beech Grove (Ark.) had to be hospitalized.... Hershel Ottwell spent two weeks at Bryan (Texas) stopping over to visit Houston brethren while on the way.... The southern California congregations had a songfest at Riverside on Nov. 3.... Thanks to Charles Funk (Illinois) for 10 subs.... And to Verla Foltz (Mo.) for 15.... Dan Thurston, Cincinnati(Ohio) says that our efforts on the eldership met with his approval.... Vida Shirey is placing a copy of "The Kingdom of the Messiah" in Macon County (Ill.) Library.... John and Martha Schiber (Ill.) send 4 subs.... G. H. Roux (Ill.) says the two presentations on the elder question were very good and thought provoking.... C. I. Waggoner, Green City (Mo.) checked a copy of "History of the Church" by Robert Brumback from the city library at Unionville, and ordered one for himself. We appreciate his good letter.... Bro. and Sister E. E. Williams (Mo.) are wonderfully pleased with both the history by Brumback and the new "Kingdom of the Messiah." We regret to report the death of Sister Lavene Wash, Anderson (Ind.) after a long fight for survival.... L. C. Roberts has recently concluded a study in Matthew at Anderson.... Walter Acree, Palmdale (Calif.) underwent surgery for removal of a cataract from his eyes.... The congregation at Chesapeake (W. Va.) meeting in the home of J. F. Bosher, is placing a copy of Church History, The Royal Priesthood, and The Kingdom of the Messiah, in the Kanawha County Public Library. Loney recently served the brethren at Montgomery and Greenville (Ala.) and attended the Birmingham debate one day.... Mrs. John Murphree (Ala.) is profited by reading the paper.... Gerald Hadley, Nashville, Tenn., is in the process of having a booklet printed under the heading "Restoration Thoughts."... Joseph Kramer (Penn.) says the new book "The Kingdom of the Messiah" is excellent and should show the light to all who are interested in salvation.... Tom Higginbotham (Florida) says the book is profitable and enjoyable. ... William S. Thurman, 830 Eli, Dallas 11 , Texas, disagrees with our thesis on the kingdom and millennium in some respects, and is preparing a tract in answer to our position. You can secure one free upon asking and we urge you to ask for it and study it.... Vernal Edwards (Ind.) says he enjoys reading the paper.... L. E. Ketcherside is on Station KFMO at Flat River (Mo.) each Friday at 5:30 P.M.... Thanks to Guy Gastineau (Mo.) for 12 subs.... Bob Hand spoke recently at Canalou, Bloomfield and Bridge congregations in Missouri, and at Sullivan (Ill.) December 8.... The Bible study at Shelbyville (Ill.) attracted a packed house each night. B Ruth, an elder at Compton (Calif.) was retired after 30 years of service with the Texas Company.... Lois Parker (Ind.) says she knows of a dozen persons she would like to have read "The Kingdom of the Messiah."... Jerry Fortenberry and Ella Jean Kappleman were married at Beech Grove (Ark.) Nov. 22.... C. R. Turner will begin a two week study on "Church Government" at Gallatin, Missouri, March 10. Look for further announcement next month.... We regret to report that Robert Sankey, an elder at Compton (Calif.) is in the hospital following a severe heart attack.... Robert Hartmann covered the NATO Conference in Paris, as a correspondent for the Los Angeles Times.... Reg and Helen Spence, St. Louis (Mo.) have a baby girl, Tamara Kaye.... Bob and Mary Lou Roland, Overland (Mo.) have a baby girl, Becky Rae.... The New Year's Eve meeting in Saint Louis (Mo.) will be held at Lillian Avenue church....
