Letters from Readers
Our mail now averages several hundreds of letters per month. These
come from many parts of the world. Virtually all of them have something to say about the series
of articles on fellowship. By far the greatest number of them are commendatory. Some few are
bitter and reveal that the writers are not at peace with themselves and with God. A letter from
Canada cancels a subscription because we will not allow the paper to become a factional journal
on certain aspects of the Lord's Supper. A brother in Colorado renews his subscription just to see
"how far you will go before you stop." A number wrote to criticize us for publishing Bro. Zerr's
article on "Observing Days." We read them all! We are especially eager to study those which
differ with our position, for we learn from them. It is evident that if some of our brethren were
editing the paper they would not be as lenient with us as we are with them. But they are all our
brethren, and strangely enough in this world of hate, we love them, and pray for everyone of
them! Why not write?
