We are sorry to report the death of Grandma Bailey, 91, of Chillicothe (Mo.) after long illness. We used a photograph of her reading her Bible on the cover of our issue for October, 1950. We are saddened to report the death of our sister, Mrs. A. L. Branum, Albertville, Alabama, on April 8.... M. S. Whitehead, Chief Steward, State Farm, Atmore, Alabama, has prepared an interesting treatise entitled, "Is The Holy Spirit a Person?" This is a reply to an article by A. C. Zerr is a gospel preacher and a member of the church. Some try to tell me he is of the Christian Church, and I want to prove different.... Bro. and Sister W. N. Inman celebrated their golden wedding anniversary, May 4, at Nixa, Missouri.... Vesper White (Calif.) says she has received much good from the books "The Royal Priesthood" and "The Kingdom of the Messiah" and keeps them out on loan.... We regret to report that Bro. James Johnson, Festus (Mo.) was forced to undergo surgery. Bernie Crum delivered the baccalaureate sermon at Canalou (Mo.) May 4, spoke there again on May 24, and began a vacation study at Bridge, near Dexter (Mo.) the next day.... Mrs. William Forsythe (Mo.) says she just cannot seem to get along without the paper.... Maude Springer (Mo.) never misses reading every line of the paper. .. . Ellis Crum reports good crowds and fellowship in the New Castle (Ind.) meeting. He immersed another at Windsor (Canada).... Jerry and Barbara Mattoon, Phoenix (Ariz.) have a baby boy, James Alan.... Lowell Lawson, Lewis Riggen, and Amos Green were appointed to the office of deacon at Phoenix, April 20.... Buddy and Janet Moyers are engaged in three (sometimes four) home Bible studies each week in the vicinity of Rolla (Mo.).... Fred Killebrew recently concluded a good meeting at Flat River (Mo.).... Darrell Bolin closed a two weeks study at Linden (Penn.) where three have been baptized recently. He also immersed one at Shippensburg (Penn.) and assisted in restoring one. Darrell will soon begin a radio program over the Williamsport station.... Tom Dennis spoke at Pollock (Mo.) May 3 and 4.... Lawrence Swearingin was at Kirksville (Mo.)
