A Good Question

[Page 13]
The extreme broadness characterized by some denominational teachers recognizing as Christians any who will give verbal assent is not to be condoned any more than the extreme narrowness that declares one must be in all points identical to ourselves! Why can we not return to the practice of the early church, and recognize as brothers and sisters in our blessed Lord, all who believe in his Deity, and who, having repented of their sins, have confessed their belief and obeyed his command in being immersed, and having taken these initial steps, continue to walk with him day by day, constantly striving for perfection as they study the Scriptures, steadfast in fellowship, breaking of bread, and the prayers? There are so many of us who haven't achieved perfection yet, and who need to learn the will of the Lord more perfectly. --Ali B. Jarman (Alaska).
