We regret to say that we do not have one copy of Volume 6 of Bible Commentary, by E. M. Zerr, remaining on our shelves. The New Testament section of this commentary is now out of print.... Two were added recently at Alton, Illinois.... Brethren at Louisiana, Missouri, are proceeding with plans to erect a meeting-house....Virgil Stevens, Vern Atwell, and Paul Jones were ordained as bishops; Arthur Horch, Cleo Martin, and Alvin Cobb were ordained as deacons at Webster Groves, Missouri.... The meeting conducted by Jim Mabery at Webster Groves was well attended.... The meetinghouse at 5344 Lillian Avenue, Saint Louis, was filled on September 20, for the song service which lasted almost two hours.... Congregations in the Saint Louis area held a picnic at Babler State Park, September 26.... The article "Thoughts on Fellowship" which we are printing in this issue was prepared for the series under that title last year. Lack of space occurred at that time due to the printing of articles from brethren who opposed our thesis. We decided that it was worth thinking about, so we changed the date to 1959 and offer it to you for consideration now. Do not be fooled into the thought that brethren are not thinking. Hundreds are doing so!... Norman and Joan Estep, Colorado Springs, Colorado, have a baby girl, Sharon Ann, born September 23.... Speakers at the annual meeting at Raytown, Missouri, which reached a peak of more than 300 in attendance on Sunday afternoon, were Wilbur Swearingin, Daniel Munger, James Baysinger, Ray Turner, Robert Brumback, Dean Nofsinger, Nels Turnquist, and Wilford Landes.... We regret to report the recent illness of our sister in Christ, Mrs. Dewey Copeland, Valdosta, Georgia... Wilford Landes reports that his wife is making satisfactory recovery, following surgery in August.... Sharon Sterner and Alan T. Townsend were married at Franklin, Nebraska, October 13.... Loren McCord immersed six young people at Green Mound, Kansas, Sept.27, and another was added by membership transfer at the evening service on that date.... A goodly number was present at Hartford, Illinois, October 3, for the discussion on "Who Is a Christian?" The next session will be held November 14, and the topic will be "The New Testament Concept of Worship." Meetings are from 9:30 a. m. to 3:00 p. m., with an hour off at noon during which luncheon is served by the sisters in the congregation.... H. R. and Mary Miller, Elwood, Indiana, have a baby girl, Anna Sue, born Sept.28.... Have you read "The Kingdom of the Messiah" by W. Carl Ketcherside. It is only $2.50 per copy.... Roy and Viola McKenney, St. Louis, Missouri, have a son, James Calvin, born Oct. 3.... Dieter Alten, Hamburg, Germany, sends us copies of the very attractive "Twentieth Century Christian" of which he is editor, and makes us wish we could read the German language.... Lloyd and Betty Spencer, Lawrence, Kansas, have adopted a baby girl, Vicki Dianne, who was five days old when she first came to live with them.... A goodly number of brethren from the Saint Louis area drove to the Glenn Goff home near Lesterville, Missouri, on October 17, where a short service was held before returning to the city, after a basket dinner was served.... The editor is scheduled to speak at Richmond, Missouri, on November 4, 5, 6, and will begin a series of meetings at Beech Grove, Arkansas, on November 15.... Carl and Dorothy Painter, Flat River, Missouri, have a baby girl, Alberta Ann, born October 5.... Robert and Leola Dunavant, Overland, Missouri, have twins, born October 9. The little girl is Michelle Denise; the little boy, Michael Dennis.... Jerry and Carolyn Landreth, Kansas City, Missouri, have a baby girl, Dolores Arleen.... Don and Lura Henke, Saint Louis, Missouri, have a baby boy, Timothy Scott, born October 12.... Jim Mabery is at Unionville, Missouri, in a meeting.... Ludwig Klinke, Wurzburg, Germany, reports an interesting period of study and prayer with a number of the other brethren in that country.... A song fest was held at Oak Hill Chapel, St. Louis, October 18, in the afternoon, with Ted Ratliff, Sr., presiding.... Harold Shasteen has recently concluded a series of meetings at Flat River, Missouri.... Cleona Harvey, Secretary to the Dean of School of Dentistry, Indiana University, led a discussion in "Rules of Bible Interpretation" with the local chapter of the Christian Medical Society, and has been assisting in Bible teaching with the group....
