Bailey reports progress being made at Klamath Falls, Oregon, where he and Andy Brady are preparing for an intensified effort among the Klamath and Modoc Indians. Tom and Lou Porter, Springfield, Missouri, have a new daughter, Myra Gay, born September 28.... We are sorry to chronicle the death of Bro. E. L. Lilly, 94, at Mattoon, Illinois, November 18.... Bro. Tom Hill, Madison, Tennessee, is seriously ill, having been in a Nashville hospital for a number of weeks. He has undergone surgery for a tumor on the heart.... David Dougal, Wallacestone, Scotland, evangelist in the Slamannan District, was seriously injured when a tire burst on his motor scooter and be was thrown from the machine, sustaining a severe head blow.... Bro. Ebb Whisennand, Oblong, Illinois, has been in Wohl Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.... There were 22 congregations represented at the young people's meeting at Overland, Missouri, Nov. 29.... Darrell Bolin has labored with the congregations at Snow Shoe, Guys Mills, and Shillington, Pennsylvania, during the month just ended. He reports that brethren in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, have purchased two lots, with a view to starting a meeting house in the spring of 1960. Assistance to this work will be greatly appreciated and can he mailed to Darrell at 134 Susquehanna Street, Lock Haven, Pennsylvania.... Wilford Landes was the principal speaker when the brethren in Des Moines, Iowa, opened their new meeting house for public worship services, December 6.... Albert Winstanley was scheduled to address the New Year meeting in the Slamannan District of Scotland.... Ellis Crum reports two immersed recently at Kendallville, Indiana.... Bernie Crum has recently filled the following appointments in Indiana: Elnora, Nov. 15; Ore Branch, Nov. 22; Vincennes, Nov. 29.... James H. Crocker, Salem, Missouri, on November 14.... Bob and Janelle Fender, Springfield, Missouri, have a baby girl, Cynthia Lea, born November 11.... Elmer McEathron was scheduled to speak at the all day meeting at Pana, Illinois, Nov. 29.... Hershel Ottwell was with the brethren at Nebo, Illinois, Nov. 15, and will conduct a two weeks study of the Bible with them during January.... The subject for discussion at the last Hartford meeting, conducted all day on one Saturday per month, at Hartford, Illinois, was "Pure Speech." These open forums are conducted by Leroy Garrett and W. Carl Ketcherside, with the help of other brethren.... Brethren at Overland, Missouri, will meet all afternoon on January 10, to discuss ways of evangelizing their area through use of the ability of all the members.... James Mabery is teaching development classes in the Fenton and Webster Groves, Missouri, area with a view to training the brethren for personal work....
