Sankey was an elder at Compton for a number of years.... William E. Paul, 1300 Julio Lane, Orlando, Florida, has a six volume set of Gibbon's Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, in fair to poor condition, which he would like to sell for $3.00 plus postage.... We are sorry to chronicle the death of our sister in Christ, Mrs. Dan Brady, 74, Des Moines, Iowa, on March 14.... Bernie Crum recently immersed one at Bicknell, Indiana. He will begin a vacation study at Bridge, near Dexter, Missouri, May 30; and another in conjunction with a meeting at Brookport, Illinois, starting June 5.... Darrell Balm recently conducted an interesting and profitable meeting with brethren at Snowshoe, Pennsylvania.... Four were immersed and one restored in the meeting conducted by the editor for the little colored congregation in north Saint Louis.... C. R. Turner was reported in an excellent meeting at Roubidoux, near Riverside, California. He will conduct a vacation study at Compton, the last two weeks in August.... The final session of the Hartford studies, held once each month during winter and spring, concluded for this season on May 7, with W. Carl Ketcherside leading the study on "Factors Contributing to Apostacy."... Isom Baker and Loretta Carriera, California, were united in marriage April 30.... The little congregation at Wynnewood, Dallas, Texas, is starting a library to be made available on a loan basis to local students. The congregation formerly meeting at 5425 Shattuck Avenue, Oakland, California, has now established a permanent address at 520 Grant Avenue, San Lorenzo, California..... Kenneth Van Deusen spoke twice for the brethren at Gallatin, Missouri, May 1.... Bob White was with brethren at Milan, Missouri, over May 1.... Harold Newcum and Betty Casady were united in marriage at Kirksville, Missouri, April 15, with Jerry Reece officiating.... Bro. Recce will conduct the vacation study at Kirksville, July 10-22. Tom Dennis recently immersed one there.... It is quite customary now for the bride to carry a small white Bible, or to present her one as a wedding gift. Jim Mabery recently concluded a good meeting at Pana, Illinois, following which he began labors with the congregation at Mount View, near Iberia, Missouri. He is now engaged in a meeting and study at Bonne Terre, Missouri, leading up to their annual meeting, June 12.... Roy Harris will conduct a singing school at Bridge, near Dexter, Missouri, July 5 - 15.... Hershel Ottwell was with brethren at Anderson, Indiana, May 1 - 13 in a study. He will direct vacation studies at Granite City, Illinois, June 13 - 17.... We are sorry to record the death of our sister, Mrs. John Rehkop, Trenton, Michigan, May 4.... More than 200 persons attended the forum on the topic, "The Stability of the Home in a Changing World," conducted at Manchester Avenue Church, Saint Louis, April 23, 24. Speakers were James Mabery, Leroy Garrett, Bob Duncan, Henry Boren, Virgil Staples and W. Carl Ketcherside.... Clarence Cochran spoke at Webster Groves, Missouri, April 24, and on the same date Stanley Carpenter was at Overland, Leroy Garrett at Manchester Avenue, and Virgil Staples at Lillian Avenue, all in the Saint Louis area.... John and Margaret Obertz, St. Louis, have a baby boy, John Clinton, born May 6.... Rex Wyrick reports two

Larry Elwell, Tulsa, Oklahoma, reports excellent interest in forums conducted during two weeks of "Studies in Christian Family Relationships." Two special open forums were held on "The Basis of Christian Fellowship" and "Christianity and the Party Spirit." J. Miller Forcade and Virgil Scott led the public meetings.... We are pleased to learn of progress of the brethren in Belfast, North Ireland, in the two congregations meeting on Berlin Street and Ballygomartin Road.... Fleener has completed 17 television and radio presentations, and will have seven more before the last of June.... Darrell Bolin has just completed a week of special work with the brethren at Meriden, Connecticut.... Herman Gower, Albuquerque, New Mexico, reports recent work by Roy Loney, William Hensley, and Ray Duffey, the latter of whom is doing full time evangelistic labor in the area at present. Two have been immersed, two added by membership transfer, and one restored. Bro. Gower is teaching a class of fellow workers where he is employed as a painter, and this group has covered the major part of the book of Acts during the noon hour luncheon periods....
