Studies in Fellowship

[Page 14]
The elders of the First Christian Church, in Rolla, Missouri, have invited W. Carl Ketcherside to speak on "The Basis of Fellowship" at a meeting to be held in their meetinghouse, on the evening of September 16. Invitations are to be issued to the general public as well as to all segments growing out of the Restoration Movement of the previous century. We commend those who are willing to re-examine the sacred scriptures on one of the most urgent problems of our day. Nothing is ever settled so long as God's people are divided and rent asunder. It is indeed a definite gain when those who differ with each other can meet in a spirit of friendliness, and with love for each other discuss their mutual problems. Since our great challenge is not so much one of difference as it is of indifference, we trust that all who sigh and cry over the state of Jerusalem, will gather for this objective discussion. No one will be obligated to accept any suggestion that is made. The individual right and dignity of all will be preserved. We do hope that all who love the Lord Jesus, regardless of the unfortunate circumstances which hold them aloof from each other, will come and share in the occasion.
