     The editor conducted funeral services for his beloved mother, Mrs. William Ketcherside, 77, at Topeka, Kansas, August 23. Mother departed to be with Jesus on Lord's Day morning, August 21. My youngest brother, Paul, assisted in the service by leading in prayer.... The elders at Hartford, Illinois, reported six immersed in recent days.... Jim and Dorlis Drummond, Chenoa, Illinois, have a baby girl, Don Jean, born July 20. The mother is the former Dorlis Jean Grant, of Springfield, Illinois.... The annual young peoples' meeting at Sullivan, Illinois, August 5 - 7, attracted large attendance, with 228 present on the Lord's Day morning.... George Moulton immersed one into Christ at Valdosta, Georgia, August 14.... Paul C. Duren reports eight immersed into Christ at Grassy Church, near Arab, Alabama.... Almost a hundred persons attended the Bible study conducted at Bangor, in Great Britain. Three were immersed into Christ in the waters of the ocean.... The offer of the brethren for a building site in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, the garden spot of Great Britain, has been accepted, and they will proceed with their plans.... Al Legg, 708 State-line Road, Rossville, Georgia, plans to move with his wife and daughter, to the tn-city area of Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point, North Carolina, January 1, and will endeavor to evangelize surrounding areas. He will appreciate information and financial assistance from individuals and congregations, and will acknowledge all communications....Ray Mann and Patricia McFarland were married on the island of Guam, August 24. Ray is a member of the congregation meeting in Oak Hill Chapel, St. Louis.... We regret to report the death of the young son of our sister in Christ, Anna Marie Brumback, St. Louis, who died August 21.... An average attendance of 80 per night heard C. R. Turner in the meeting conducted at Compton, California, in August.... Jerry Culley and Betty Mae Phillips were married at Mortons Gap, Kentucky, August 14... . Wilford Hill and Elizabeth Lynn were married at Decatur, Illinois, August 28. Wilford has been laboring with the colored disciples in Decatur for several years.... We regret to report that Thomas Baird, Rolla, Missouri was forced to undergo surgery in Saint Louis, for the removal of a portion of a lung.... We deeply regret that we did not get an announcement of the annual meeting held at 6321 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, Missouri, in time to give it advance publicity. It was held Sept. 24, 25, with Daniel Munger, Richard Riggins, Wilford Landes, Lawrence Swearingin, Ray Turner, and Wilbur Swearingin, listed among the speakers.... Norman and Joyce Hawbaker, Decatur, Illinois, have a baby girl, Connie Jo, born August 4.... Darrell Bolin reports an average of 95 students daily in the vacation study conducted at Mount Eagle, Pennsylvania. He informs us that the new meetinghouse at Lock Haven is progressing in good shape, with the brethren expecting to put the roof on during the Labor Day weekend.... Raymond Keeth, Pomona, California; Vilas Young, Brixey, Missouri; Glen King, Granite City, Illinois; and Churchill Teghtmeyer, Kansas City, Missouri, have all spoken recently at Iberia, Missouri.... We regret to report that Russell Phelps, Nevada, Missouri was hospitalized in Saint Louis as the result of a cardiac condition.... Gilbert conducted a nightly study of the Hebrew letter at Nebo, Illinois during August.... M. S. Whitehead, a steward at State Farm, Atmore, Alabama, was hospitalized when arteries in his right leg collapsed, from a condition later diagnosed as acute diabetes.... Donald and Reva Stevens, Webster Groves, Missouri, have a baby boy, Don Edward, born September 7.... Doyle Wyatt, Excelsior Springs, Missouri; David Selby, Independence, Missouri; Don Burkman, Council Bluffs, Iowa; Lynn Dennis, Mount Ayr, Iowa; Charles Gilmer, Topeka, Kansas; and Arthur Turner, Kansas City, Missouri, were scheduled as speakers at the annual young peoples' meeting at 2427 Indiana Avenue, Topeka, Kansas, October 1, 2. Tom Dennis will conduct a two weeks meeting following the special services.... The congregation at Compton, California, celebrated its 35th anniversary, September 25.... W. Carl Ketcherside was scheduled to be with brethren in Ypsilanti, Michigan, October 3-7; and with the brethren at Mount Eagle, Pennsylvania, October 17-23.... Norman Wilkey reports a good series of meetings at Sullivan, Indiana, conducted by Bob Duncan, who took for his theme "What Christ Thinks of His Church."... Wilford Landes conducted a meeting at Braymer, Missouri, in August.... Dean Garrison is teaching at Mesa Alta Junior High School, Bloomfield, New Mexico....
