The congregation at Bonne Terre, Missouri, arranged for their facilities to be used by the Lead Belt Council on Juvenile Delinquency, September 23, 24. James Mabery was chairman. At the first meeting, W. Carl Ketcherside spoke on "Juvenile Delinquency, Our National Shame." A film was shown, titled "Our Troubled Children." At the second meeting, Raymond Roberts, Prosecuting Attorney, spoke on "Juvenile Delinquency from a Legal Standpoint and What Can Be Done; and Gene Pratt, Counselor for Desloge High School, spoke on "Helping To Avoid Delinquency in the Schools." The three speakers acted as a panel to answer audience questions for one hour.... Three were immersed at Manchester Avenue Church, Saint Louis, September 18.... James Mabery began a series of meetings with brethren in Eldon, Missouri, October 2.... Vearla Foltz and wife reported meeting with brethren at Eastwood and London, during their stay in Great Britain. They also worshiped with the brethren in Rome, while in Italy.... Bob Carron spoke at Festus, Missouri, September 18.... We regret to report that Bro. and Sister Grant Decker, Route 3, De Soto, Missouri, lost all of their possessions in a fire which completely destroyed their home, September 12. We are sure they would appreciate your thoughtful assistance.... We sympathize with Ronald Perryman, an elder at Festus, Missouri, whose father departed this life Sept. 15.... We regret to report the death of our brother in Christ, Ebb Whisennand, Oblong, Illinois. Funeral services were held Sept.30.... Lloyd and Beulah Humphrey, Overland, Missouri, have a baby girl, Melissa Ruth; Bob and Jane Henderson, of the same congregation, have a baby girl, Katherine Lynn, born October 4.... We are saddened by the death of our aged sister, Lena LaRose, Crystal City, Missouri, who departed this life October 8.... The congregation at Compton, California, celebrated its 35th anniversary, September 25.... Roy Loney conducted a series of meetings at La Verne, California, starting October 3.... W. Carl Ketcherside was with the Willow Run congregation at Ypsilanti, Michigan, for a week starting October 3, during which conferences were held with many brethren in the area relative to the problems of the day, many of which seem to grow out of the legalistic attitude toward our relationship in Christ Jesus. Future meetings in the area are under consideration.... We sincerely urge all of you to send your subscriptions in advance of expiration date. This will save sending you notification and will greatly lessen our work. If you will renew now, and send your subscription for several years, credit will be given from date of expiration.... Darrell Bolin was with the Shillington, Pennsylvania, congregation over the weekend of October 9.... M. S. Whitehead underwent surgery at St. Margaret Hospital, Montgomery, Alabama, but reported that he was recovering in good shape. Let us pray for him....
