California Meeting

     A meeting of great significance will be held in the meetinghouse of the Lakewood Church of Christ, 6500 East Del Amo Boulevard, Lakewood, California, October 16 through 20. In an attempt to face up to the problem of division and to re-study the question of fellowship in the light of God's revelation, W. Carl Ketcherside will speak five nights. Forums and panel sessions will be held each afternoon in which questions from the audience will be answered. Other meetings of a special nature are being arranged for the morning hours. Invitations will be mailed out to all segments of the disciple brotherhood in the area, with the understanding that all may attend, listen and question, without this being construed as endorsement of what the speaker says. Singing will be without instrumental accompaniment. No one in attendance will be under any compulsion or coercion but all will meet as free men in Christ Jesus to study and think on the conditions growing out of modern abuse of the restoration movement. If you plan a California vacation this fall try and arrange it for the Los Angeles area at this time; if you know of brethren and friends in California who ought to attend this meeting, write them in advance and tell them to hold those dates open.
