We are indebted to brethren who have made mention of MISSION MESSENGER in their church bulletins recently. As a result of such notices many have written us lately and asked for sample copies of the paper.... L. G. Butler and Paul D. Mackey are editors of a monthly journal "Proclaimer of Truth." The August issue contained articles by Taylor Joyce, James Orten, James Albert, Miles King, and K.G. Wilkes, which were very constructive. Although these brethren would not agree with me upon many things they are my brethren beloved in the Lord, and I commend them for this excellent issue of their paper.... Bernie Crum conducted funeral services for Marvin Dalton, Flat River, Missouri, September 17.... Nine congregations were represented in the meeting at Galesburg, Illinois, Sept. 9, 10, in which the theme of "Unity" was discussed by various brethren. Total attendance for four meetings was 300.... Brethren who have been meeting in the new grade school building at Nixa, Missouri, report they have purchased an acre of ground near James River as the site for a new building on which construction will soon begin. Fred Killebrew has been laboring with them when possible.... Brethren at Powell, Wyoming, have signed a contract for radio broadcasts which will be presented by Vernon Hurst.... If you have not read "The Fool of God" we urge that you send for a copy. It is $4.95 and worth every cent of it.... James Mabery conducted two weeks of work with brethren at Louisiana, Missouri during September. At the same time Hershel Ottwell was with brethren at Bonne Terre, Missouri in a special effort.... Marvin Patterson, Flat River, Missouri, was returned to St. Louis for surgery on September 20. Glenn Smith and wife, Nevada, Missouri, were both hospitalized in St. Louis, at the same time. Bro. Smith is one of the elders at Nevada.... The next Saturday discussion at Hartford, Illinois, will be held on November 25, with the subject being "The Basis of Unity Among Believers." Sessions are held from 9:30 a. m. to 3:00 p. m., with an hour off at noon.... W. Carl Ketcherside will begin a meeting at Beech Grove, Arkansas, December 3.... We should like to suggest as inspirational reading "Making Men Whole," by J. B. Phillips. The price is $2.00 per copy.... Albert Winstanley reports that on a recent tour through Devon and Cornwall, in England, he met many brethren previously unknown to him in the flesh.... The first of a series of song fests in the St. Louis area was held at Lillian Avenue congregation, September 24, official opening date of services in their new building.... The next song rally in the Saint Louis area will be held at Fenton, Nov. 5.... Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Campbell, Beech Grove, Arkansas, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary, September 24.... Hershel Ottwell taught a two week study at Anderson, Indiana. He will conduct a study of the Second Corinthian letter at Shelbyville, Illinois, in January.... Bernie Crum reports one added by membership transfer at Flat River, Missouri.... James Mabery reported four responses to the invitation at Louisiana, Missouri. He immersed two into Christ at Lillian Avenue, Saint Louis, Sept.24. A young Catholic couple was baptized at Bonne Terre, Missouri, during Hershel Ottwell's labors there. George Murray immersed his son at Fenton, Missouri, Sept.24. W. Carl Ketcherside immersed one at Oak Hill Chapel, Saint Louis, Sept.27.... James Mabery began two weeks of special teaching at Pomona, California, October 1.... Clyde Hasten, Springfield, Illinois, has been transferred to Dallas, Texas.... Five were added in a two week meeting conducted at Antioch congregation in
