A capacity audience at Northwest Christian Church, Decatur, Illinois, heard the discussion by the editor on "Restoring the Restoration" on April 2. Many representatives of all groups growing out of the Restoration movement were present for the occasion. Earlier on the same day an address was made to the Central Illinois Preachers' Fellowship at Atlanta, Illinois.... The congregation meeting at 1006 South Garey Avenue, Pomona, California, Is making arrangements for the editor to deliver four addresses in that city on September 22, 23, which is the weekend following the fellowship rally to be held at Rosemead.... We would like to have your subscription for "Scripture Standard" the paper published by the brethren in Great Britain. The price is $1.50 per year. We are saddened by news of the death of Levi Clark, our beloved brother who lived at Barrow-in-Furness, England. We shall never forget our visits with him.... Brethren at Summer Lane, Birmingham, England, are in the process of building a new meetinghouse. Their old one was destroyed by German bombs in December 1940. When I was with them we held meetings in a temporary structure.... Bernie Crum reports one immersed and three added by membership transfer at Flat River, Missouri, recently. Brother Crum recently spent eleven days with the congregation at Albuquerque, New Mexico, and was with brethren at Bicknell, Indiana, on April 22.... In a two page "Open Letter to the Church" our brother Thurman D. Hester, 1949 Royalty Drive, Pomona, California, warns the brethren that we are trying to force the church into the ecumenical movement. We are sure that he would like to send you a copy of his warning on what he calls "dangers of liberalism." Why not send for a copy and keep posted on what is transpiring?.... We are happy to report that 2 were immersed and 3 restored at Blackburn, England, during the special mission conducted by Albert E. Winstanley.... James Mabery was temporarily restricted against using his voice because of nodes appearing on the vocal cords. He is making satisfactory progress.... Brethren at Outlook, Saskatchewan, want us to urge all of our readers who can take a Canadian vacation to spend it at the Men's Camp, to be held July 26-29. We are happy to report that our sister in Christ, Mrs. Sam Davis, Clarksburg, West Virginia, successfully underwent serious surgery on March 5.... Bob Duncan spoke three nights at North Water Street Congregation, Decatur, Illinois, March 19-21, on "The Ground Rules for Higher Living." Fred Killebrew was scheduled to be with the brethren there in April.... Five were added to the congregation meeting at Oak Hill Chapel, Saint Louis, during the meeting which concluded March 28....
