We rather suspect that a good many brethren, especially those who attended our meeting in Rosemead, California, would be interested in reading an evaluation of our effort to create a better atmosphere for discussion of our differences, as written by Bro. Glenn L. Wallace. His article entitled "Labor Pains of a New Sect" appears in the November 27 edition of Firm Foundation, and can no doubt be secured by writing to the paper at P.O. Box 77, Austin, Texas. For the benefit of those who do not secure a copy it may be mentioned that Bro. Wallace is slightly upset by the growing favor of our plea for fellowship in the Lord Jesus of all of the children of the Father.... It was our privilege to speak four times recently for the saints who meet at James River Chapel, south of Springfield, Missouri. Despite inclement weather a full house was present for every service. Twenty preaching brethren from various segments of the restoration movement were present on the afternoon of November 18.... Jerry Reece recently held good meetings at Stull, Kansas, and Craig Road congregation, Kansas City, Missouri. Brethren at 5906 Kenwood Avenue, Kansas City, sponsored M. F. Cottrell in three meetings recently.... One was immersed at Fenton, Missouri, and another added at Webster Groves, November.... Paul Tromburg reports that Magnar Knutson, of Toronto, conducted a good meeting at Outlook, Saskatchewan, Canada. Brethren at Outlook have recently remodeled their building.... We regret to report the passing of our brother in the Lord, J. Holmes, 82, of Goole, Yorkshire, England, November 13. This aged brother was a source of real strength and comfort to us.... W. Carl Ketcherside will speak at the Cahokia Men's Fellowship, Cahokia, Illinois, January 15; at the St. Louis Christian College Lectureship, Florissant, Missouri, January 29; at the Founder's Day meeting of the Parent-Teacher Association at Esther, Missouri, February 19; and at Johnson Bible College, Knoxville, Tennessee, February 21.... We would like to mail you a copy of the new book by William Barclay, entitled, "Flesh and Spirit." For those who like word studies here is a good one and the price is just $2.00 per copy.... Mr. and Mrs. William Thiess, Naperville, Illinois, have a son, Armand William, born Nov.24.... Neal Phillips, P.O. Box 808, Gallatin, Tennessee, sends us complimentary copies of records produced by the Good Tidings Quartet, all preachers of the gospel. You may secure these at $1.00 each from Neal at the address given and we recommend them.... We have had an encouraging letter from H. G. Cassell, Torrance, California. He was a missionary for several years in the Philippines and he and his family were interned by the Japanese during their attack on the islands.... The last issue of Restoration Review, edited by Leroy Garrett, contains some of the most provocative material we have seen in a good many months. In addition to some background material on the restoration movement, there are challenging articles on "The Origin of the Name 'Christian,'" and "The Church of Billy Sol Estes"..... We regret to report the death of Ollie Hefner, 63, St. Louis, Missouri, November 17.... Robert Duncan and William Dunbar were ordained as elders at Bloomington, Illinois, with John Fleener officiating.... W. Carl Ketcherside assisted the brethren at Beech Grove, Arkansas, for one week, starting December 2. He was on a daily radio broadcast over KDRS, Paragould, during that time.... Remember that you can now secure our new book "Thoughts on Fellowship" containing all of the copies of MISSION MESSENGER for 1957-58, by sending in your order and enclosing $3.50 per copy. The books are ready for immediate mailing..... We regret to report
