Crum conducted a meeting and vacation Bible study at Albuquerque, New Mexico, and was scheduled for other such studies at Flat River, and the Bridge congregation, near Dexter, Missouri.... We are saddened to report the death of our aged brother, G. C. Stillinger, Ontario, California. His life has been an inspiration to many of us.... G. Stanley Smith, Assistant Professor of Animal Science at the University of Illinois, has resigned his post to devote his time to carrying the message of Christ to the students on the campus of this great university. William Earl and Caren Sue Black, Flat River, Missouri, have a baby boy, William Linn, born June 11.... Jack and Ruth Fleener, Decatur, Illinois, have a baby girl, Susan Elene, born June 18.... Bob Duncan conducted a series of studies on "The Holy Spirit" at Bonne Terre, Missouri, for one week.... James Mabery reports one immersed at 5906 Kenwood Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri, during a particularly interesting series of studies, which drew a large attendance.... Two have been immersed recently at Hartford, Illinois.... Hershel Ottwell directed an excellent vacation study at that place.... James Graddy directed a vacation study at Overland, Missouri, during a series of gospel meetings in which he participated with James Mabery and the editor.... Ronald Bartanen, a non-partisan brother in the Lord, has removed from Blue Island, Illinois, to Louisville, Kentucky, where he will labor with the Kentucky Avenue congregation.... We extend our sincere sympathy to Arthur Freeman, Pomona, California, upon the death of his mother at Des Moines, Iowa. We also deeply regret to chronicle the death of Brother Eugene Suddeth of Des Moines.... More than 10,000 persons registered at the North American Christian Convention at Long Beach, California.... The Gospel Advocate June 27, 1963, carried an article by C. K. Wallace, on "The Basis of Fellowship" in which opposition is taken to what our brother thinks we teach. The same issue carries "Reply to Ketcherside" by J. D. Thomas. Since we are not permitted to answer in that paper we urge you to secure a copy and read these attacks. The address is 110 Seventh Avenue, North, Nashville, Tennessee.... James Lovell, in Action for June, 1963, has a column directed against my plea for unity of all believers. Our brother wants to be free from the party spirit but finds it difficult to do that within the framework in which he finds himself. You can secure a copy of the paper by writing to P.O. Box 488, Redondo Beach, California.... Christian A. Lyles, editor of Christian Waymarks P.O. Box 25, Granite City Illinois, invited Roy H. Lanier, Sr., to write a series of articles in opposition to my position, and these have appeared in four issues of his paper, from April-July. We urge you to secure copies of these and to read them. Remember that truth-loving persons can read anything.... The discussions on unity at Dallas, Texas, brought together members of some eleven different parties within the restoration movement background. It is possible that this was one of the significant meetings of our generation, since brethren of all segments freely discussed their problems in an amicable manner.... Arrangements are being made for a series of lectures and forums dealing with fellowship and unity, to be held at Wichita, Kansas. Watch for further announcement.... We deeply regret to announce the death of our sister in the Lord, Mrs. Arthur Bullock, Stratford, Connecticut.... Darrell Bolin was with the congregation at Sun Valley, West Virginia, June 23.....
