The 1964 papers are now in the process of being bound in book form under the title "The Brotherhood of Faith." This 192 page, fully indexed volume, will be ready for mailing on March 1. This will be our final notice of the pre-publication price of $2.49 per copy, and all orders at that rate must be received by March 1, or be postmarked no later than that date.... In our March issue we will have as our principal theme, "Contrary to the Doctrine," and under this heading we will analyze Romans 16:17. We believe that all who read it will agree that the treatment given will be the most thorough you have ever seen on this important passage. The March paper will be a valuable one and we earnestly trust that you will share it with other friends and brethren.... We are beginning to receive advance orders for the 1965 bound issues which will be placed in a book to bear the title, "The Twisted Scriptures." There will be but 2000 copies of this volume issued and there will be no additional reprint made of it, so when the orders reach that figure we will not take additional requests for copies.... If you are interested in making a trip to Bible Lands with a group of saints, you are urged to contact Ellis Crum, 620 North Riley Street, Kendallville, Indiana. Please write at once.... Brethren who would like to secure unbound back issues of the paper for research purposes, or to complete their personal files, are asked to write to C. H. Ephland, 1505 North Ash Street, Nevada, Missouri 64772. Brother Ephland maintains a file of back issues for the very purposes indicated. Send postage with your request.... We have read the interesting prospectus for the Christian colony in Guatemala, and suggest that if you are interested in pioneering in another part of the world that you write at once for a copy to J. C. Reed, 123 Third Street, Donna, Texas, or to Dick Gring, 264 Brazos, Eagle Pass, Texas 78852. This may be your chance to really serve a need in a needy part of the earth.... The Hartford, Illinois, forum on fellowship, conducted on December 28, 29, was one of the most profitable we have ever attended. We met brethren from Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Georgia, Alabama, Texas, Missouri, as well as other states. Those who could not attend may have the opportunity to read the address on "The One Faith" as delivered by Leroy Garrett, in a subsequent issue of Restoration Review.... While mentioning other papers we would like for you to send for a sample copy of the little paper called Restoration Reporter, edited by J. J. Albert, 330 Park Avenue, McDonald, Ohio.... More than 80 young people of high school and college age registered for the winter study in St. Louis, taught by James Graddy, James Mabery, Kenneth Getter and Ellis Crum, with Maurice Howard acting as youth counsellor. Sessions were held daily at 4966 Arlington Avenue, and climaxed with a New Year's Eve meeting until midnight, at which more than 300 stayed for the entire service. Four were immersed during the study.... David and Sylvia Askey, Douglassville, Pennsylvania, have a son, John Darrell, born November 14; Don and Jan Cain, Windsor, Illinois, have a son, Michael Richard, born December 9.... We regret to report the death of Brother Allen Greer, a member at Canalou, Missouri.... It will help us a great deal if you will send your renewal in advance of the expiration date, and if you can renew for more than one year at a time. Only one notice of expiration will be sent to our readers from this time on, and if your renewal is not sent or if we do not hear from you we shall conclude that you wish your subscription cancelled.... Students of the current trends within the forces of the restoration movement will be interested in the pamphlet "A Fork in the Road" which contains the speech by Winfred E. Garrison, made at a Minister's Breakfast, in Detroit, Michigan, October 7, 1964. You can secure a copy for lOc by writing to Christian Board of Publication, Box 179, St. Louis, Missouri 63166.... Roy Harris, Route 2, Cawker City, Kansas 67430, has favored us with a copy of his new book of poems called "Silver Shadows No.3" and we urge you to send 50c and get a copy. When you do be sure to read "They Hired A Preacher" and "He Won an Argument".... Speaking about books reminds me that in the last four weeks I have read the following: Albert Schweitzer's Gift of Friendship, by Erica Anderson; Loneliness, by Clark E. Moustakes; Alexander Campbell's Tour in Scotland, by Thomas Chalmers; The Life of Jacob Creath, Jr., by P. Donan; Biography of John T. Johnson, by John Rogers; The Dynamics of Christian Unity, by W. Stanley Mooneyham; and A Bridge for Passing, by Pearl S. Buck. I feel that the month was not wasted, and I was profoundly impressed again, as I always am, with the ability of Pearl S. Buck to use words. I shall never forget the first book of hers which I read--The Good Earth.... Stanley K. McDaniel, who is the Instructor in Speech and History at Arcata (California) Union High District School, writes us that tragedy befell a little group of saints meeting at Weott, when the flooding waters of the Eel River completely destroyed their meetinghouse and all equipment. Those of you who saw the pictures of this rampaging river in Life Magazine know how serious was the flood. If you would like to help in the rebuilding program you may send your checks to Brother McDaniel at 1167 Buttermilk Lane, Arcata, California.... We regret to report the death of John Buford, 96, of Bunker, Missouri, January 6. He was the father of Sister Della Randolph, St. Louis, Missouri.... Bernie Crum immersed one at Flat River, Missouri, January 3.... Readers of Mission Messenger will soon receive another issue of "The Bookshelf" and this one will contain a picture of our whole family.... We want to urge all of you to send your subscription payment in advance of expiration. This means a great deal to us and saves much time and money. It costs to notify you. Remember that you lose nothing because you are advanced from the time of expiration for the amount you send.... Another way to help is to subscribe for more than one year at a time, and to send in subscriptions for your friends and relatives when you can. We will appreciate every effort upon your part to help in an ever growing burden.
