Please remember that we must have the Zip Code of all subscribers in the United States. When you write us on any matter be sure and include the Zip Code. We will soon be unable to mail second-class matter to you without it.... You are requested to remember the series of studies to be conducted at Arrowhead of Ball Lake, in Indiana, August 1-22. For complete information write to Ellis Crum, 620 North Riley Street, Kendallville, Indiana.... "The Beacon" which is the regular bulletin of Erie Christian Church, Erie, Illinois, carried a part of our article on "Analysis of Apostasy" in the May 12 issue. This gives us an opportunity of saying that brethren are free to reproduce anything we write in MISSION MESSENGER at any time. Use it to the glory of God. It is yours and His.... The most unique bulletin which crosses our desk is edited by Gary Freeman, for the Church of Christ, 3425 Mayfield Road, Cleveland Heights 28, Ohio. Its content is uniquely different than any other such publication we receive.... The journal edited by Dean Garrison, Farmington, New Mexico, under the title "Christian Youth" has suspended publication after several years of journalism directed toward young people and their problems.... It is interesting to notice the recommended publications listed in most bulletins and journals. Generally these are all "party papers" which parrot the line the preacher wants his congregation to read. As opposed to that type of brainwashing technique it is our intention to keep our readers posted on all kinds of publications within the restoration movement background, and also out of it. We have confidence in the good sense of our readers and have no intention of subjecting them to "thought control" and hierarchical censorship.... About fifty persons attended the meetings at Bethany College sponsored by the Ohio Valley Ministers' Association, at which it was our privilege to speak twice on May 18, and conduct a question forum at a noon luncheon. Brethren were present from all three of the main segments of the disciple brotherhood.... It is an interesting omen of better things to come that in many sections of the country brethren from both instrument and non-instrument wings of the restoration movement are meeting together to explore what they have in common. These meetings have grown in number in the past six months and we predict that as men lose their fear (of their own party) the work will be greatly enhanced.... In our next issue we propose to deal with "The Baptism of John" especially to explore the modern use made of Acts 19:1-6 by those who advocate rebaptism of all who have not been immersed by a "Church of Christ preacher" or who did not fully comprehend all that was involved at the time of their surrender to the Lord Jesus. We will use a slightly different format for the presentation, and you'll like it even if you do not agree with our conclusions.... Harry Bowers, Ahoskie, North Carolina, is presenting an interesting series of studies in Acts of the Apostles in his little paper called "Challenge."... We invoke your aid just now and ask you to please help us in the critical summer months when the reading slump cuts down on readership. Could you possibly mention Mission Messenger publicly or in your bulletin and offer to forward subscriptions?... Please recall that a brother in California will send the paper free for one year to any elder of any congregation in the country who requests it. You may feel free to announce this to the elders of the congregation where you labor and urge them to take advantage of this offer.... Only one notice of expira-

tion is now mailed out to our readers. If you do not send in your subscription we conclude that you no longer want to continue as a reader and lift your card from the file. It would help us so much if you would send your renewal in advance of expiration date and also renew for several years at a time. All subscriptions and correspondence should be addressed to MISSION MESSENGER, 139 Signal Hill Drive, St. Louis, Missouri 63121.... There were 42 brethren from the instrumental and non-instrumental groups in attendance at the Third Preacher's Institute in Alberta, Canada, this year. Discussions were excellent in tone.... M. S. Whitehead is publishing a critique on "Two Fellowships" which was written by a brother who is wholly out of harmony with the views we express. You can secure a copy by writing to Brother Whitehead at 211 Park Avenue, Montgomery, Alabama 36110.... Additional copies of this issue of the paper may be secured at the rate of ten for one dollar but you will need to write soon as the supply is limited.... Restoration Review for April-May was produced as a special issue containing 44 pages, and featuring articles by Louis Cochran and Leroy Garrett. The former, who is well known as author of "Fool of God" and "Raccoon John Smith" wrote on the topic "The Several Worlds of Alexander Campbell." It is an interesting study of one of the most versatile men of his generation, and reveals with humor and pathos intermingled the joys and sorrows of the life of one who is just now beginning to be recognized for his true qualities of greatness. The article by Leroy Garrett is titled, "What Alexander Campbell Was Trying To Do." It is probably about the best writing that Brother Garrett has produced to date, and this is not at all to minimize his literary compositions of the past. This rather lengthy article will take you behind the scenes and let you view the dreams and aspirations of a man who sacrificed a budding political career in which he would have become recognized as one of the outstanding statesmen of his day, in order to plead for the unity of the Christians in all of the sects. There are a good many quotations which you will want to preserve and especially deserving of mention is the voluminous bibliography containing documentation of the material presented, and affording the researchist a rare field for future investigation. It is planned that the issues will be made into permanent book form with separate cover and containing an introduction by Perry Epler Gresham, who is president of Bethany College, and one of the successors of Campbell in that position. The book will be priced at $1.00 but the current Restoration Review can be secured at the modest price of two for $1.00 until further notice. We urge all of our readers to secure copies and share them with others in the growing number of concerned ones. The address is 1201 Windsor Drive, Denton, Texas.... Word from Albert Winstanley tells of the success of his labors with the congregation of saints at Ince, which is in Lancashire, England. A goodly number of folk were induced to come and hear the message of salvation and six were immersed into the Lord Jesus. We find ourselves especially interested in the fact that British brethren can take the glad tidings to their friends and neighbors within the realm despite the fact that some brethren on this side of the Atlantic regard England and Scotland as "mission fields." Perhaps British brethren would do better if left alone except for our prayers. We will not help them by transporting our problems to their shores.
