Work with Methodists
[Page 46] |
As a result of contacts made at the Worlds Fair Exhibit in New York, Paul Breakfield, of Poinsett Drive Church of Christ in Cocoa, Florida, has been speaking in meetings of the United Wesleyan Methodist Church of America, in the New York area. W. S. Harrigan, president of the independent conference of the Methodist group, invited the first visit to the John Wesley United Wesleyan Methodist Church in the Bronx, and at the first meeting stated that he wished to be a Christian only. He was accepted on his previous immersion, and some ten others have been immersed. Since the initial meeting on October 17, Brother Breakfield has spoken in several other Methodist congregations on the Lord's Day with interest manifested. Such dialogue which recognizes that every immersed believer is God's child and a brother in the Lord is commendable and represents an implementation of the plea we have made.
