The Seventh Consultation on Internal Unity of the Christian Churches, held at Enid, Oklahoma, produced greater interest than most preceding sessions, and seemed to bring matters into sharper focus. It was our privilege to address the brethren assembled and the speech delivered on the occasion will appear in our next issue.... Our three days spent with brethren meeting at Riverside church in Wichita, Kansas, were very enjoyable and profitable. During the time it was possible to explore our goals with a goodly number of brethren in Christian Churches and Churches of Christ, and we were especially pleased with the lengthy conversations with Robert Meyers, who teaches at Friends University and labors with the brethren at Riverside.... Roy D. Clark writes from Casper, Wyoming, "After more than twenty years of preaching for the non-instrument brethren I have taken my stand to do whatever might be in my power to try and bring unity and peace to the brotherhood of Christ." Many of the brethren in Wyoming are now able to work back and forth across the artificial barriers which men have erected and we pray that others will come to know this freedom in Christ Jesus.... The Martin Mitchum family is eagerly involved in learning the language of Ethiopia as they school themselves in Addis Ababa for greater service to the Lord.... Allen H. The enrollment for the 48th annual Bible lectureship at Abilene Christian College was about 9,000 despite blizzard conditions which hindered from the second day on.... L. G. Butler announces a price raise for Proclaimer of Truth to $2.00 per year and says he has written several preaching brethren to present articles which "come to grips with the issues and problems of our times." Wetzel, assistant professor of philosophy at Milligan College has been named to the Summer Institute of Teachers of Philosophy, to be held at the University of Colorado this summer.... Gospel Guardian reprinted in its issue of March 3 an article written by John Allen Hudson relative to the position of John Anderson of Glasgow, Scotland. Inasmuch as we stayed with Brother Anderson in Glasgow the article was of special interest to us.... The March edition of 20th Century Christian contained an article by Harold C. Key, of St. Louis, on "Urban Leaders for Christ.".... The presidents of four colleges participated in the Christian Fellowship Rally held at First Christian Church, Caldwell, Idaho, February 4, 5. They were Robert M. Bell (Johnson Bible College); Barton A. Dowdy (Northwest Christian College); Kenneth Beckman (Boise Bible College); and Donald R. Neilson (Magic Valley Christian College).... We regret to report the recent deaths of Bro. Oscar Strayhorn, St. Louis, Missouri; and Bro. Theodore Humphry of Royalton, Illinois. The latter was a hard-working coal miner who was a preacher, teacher and student of God's word for the fifty years of his membership in the One Body....
