Approximately 150 persons were enrolled for
the School of Ministry at Milligan College, where Dr. T. W.
Nakarai and W. Carl Ketcherside taught daily. An outstanding
feature of the week was the address by Dr. Dudley Dennison, a
cardiologist of Indianapolis, Indiana, who spoke on "The Guilty
Heart."... Free cards which may be mailed in for correspondence

Spanish.... John and Heather Kernan, 11 Jasmay Place, Nahoon
Valley, East London, Cape Province, Republic of South Africa,
have printed a hymn book in the Xhosa dialect, and "The Life of
Christ Visualized" in Zulu. The demand for such printed material
is terrific.... "An Uncertain Sound" for June, 1966, contains an
article by Dee and Doris Colvett, entitled "A Meditation on
Worship." It says some pretty challenging things. Dee Colvett is

extended to brethren from all segments of the restoration

of "Christianity Restored" contains some excellent excerpts from
the writings of Alexander Campbell and others. It is published at

the two volume abridged edition of Millennial Harbinger, you

hundred attended the thirty-first annual Lake James School of
Missions, near Angola, Indiana; more than 180 were present for
the Summer Seminar in Missions at Harding College, Searcy,
Arkansas.... The Printed Preacher edited by Hal Watkins at
North 7411 Wall, Spokane, Washington 99208, contains an
interesting article in the August issue by Robert E. Kofahl,
President of Highland College, on the subject, "Evolution: Fact
or Fraud?"... The Christasian, 112/352 Swarupnagar, Kanpur
2, U. P., India, has an article by Frank Rempel, on "God's Plan
for Unity," in the July-August issue.... There were 295 men in
attendance at the Blue Ridge Men's Clinic, Hillsville, Virginia,
which was addressed by John Noble, Paul Bajko, and W. Carl
Ketcherside.... Brother Bajko, who was immersed into Christ in
his native Poland, attends a congregation of saints at Bel Air,
Maryland, where services are conducted each Lord's Day in four
different languages.... The Christian Standard carried an
article in its issue for September 3, written by John Neth, on
the "Sermon on the Law." It celebrated the 150th anniversary of
the famous sermon delivered by Alexander Campbell before the
Redstone Baptist Association, September 1, 1816.... We would like
to mention the new book "Pioneers of the Restoration Movement,"
which is a reprint of the one by Frederick D. Power, over sixty
years ago. It is an excellent one and we will send you one in
paperback for only $1.50. We trust you'll secure it and read
it.... The 20th Century Christian scored again with an
excellent edition for September, carrying the theme, "Making the
Right Choice".... The attractive magazine, The Voice of
Evangelism, carries a chart in the August issue, entitled,
"God and Man Meet in Christ." It is a neat presentation.... A. M.
Burton, 86, died in Nashville, Tennessee, August 1. During his
lifetime he gave to David Lipscomb college more than three and a
half million dollars.... The Firm Foundation is currently
running a series of articles by J. D. Thomas, on the subject of
"The Holy Spirit." There is a renewed interest in the theme among
many in Churches of Christ, but a great deal of what is being
said is merely repetition of sermon outlines of the past which do
little to answer the questions which people are now asking....
Bob Hare and family have returned to Vienna, Austria, where they
will resume the work which he has been carrying on for nine
years.... Martin Mitchum, who is laboring in Ethiopia, had an
attack of typhoid this summer but was reported as improved on
August 23.... The editor is scheduled to speak to approximately a
thousand men at First Christian Church, Columbus, Indiana,
October 3. The occasion is the Indiana State Christian Men's
Fellowship Meeting and the theme is "Solving Problems in Long
Division."... We urge all of our readers to help out by sending
subscriptions. The reading season, after the vacation period, is
