lectureship will be held at the school in Winchester, Kentucky,

Paths Advocate that the plea for fellowship across artificial
sectarian lines is affecting some of those within the party for
which it is the journalistic organ. This becomes apparent in many
other magazines as well. Satan is going to take a beating.... C.
H. Ephland, an elder at Nevada, Missouri, has asked for space for
the following announcement: "Cruel misfortune has struck the
family of Paul Ketcherside, an
evangelist at Nowata, Oklahoma. His wife and mother of his six
children was stricken with an acute attack of gall bladder
distress, and had to he taken into the hospital for surgery,
although considered a poor risk because of being weakened by
diabetes. She recovered sufficiently to return home, but a
collapse of nerves, coupled with infectious hepatitis, forced her
return to the hospital as an emergency patient, where she remains
critically ill. This emergency has ruined Paul and his family
financially. He has borrowed every cent possible but hospital
expenses run $54.00 per day and no insurance was obtainable
because of Floreine's diabetic condition. We suggest humbly and
prayerfully that you consider giving the entire Lord's Day
contribution on January 15 to help this man who has given freely
and unselfishly of his time, money and energy wherever the need
was apparent. You may address him simply at Nowata, Oklahoma....
We may add that C. H. Ephland lives at 1505 North Ash Street,
Nevada, Missouri, should you desire to contact him further about
this emergency situation.... There were 214 persons present for

Eddie DeVries and Don Jessup spoke in practical messages on "How
To" at the Florida Camp Rally, held at Orlando, December
23-25.... We regret to chronicle the fact that our aged sister in
Christ, Nancy Gingrich, La Verne, California, suffered a stroke
on November 17, and we pray for her recovery. I stayed in her
home when I was known as "the boy preacher."... Each year in July
we present a special issue devoted to a major problem, not merely
within our own framework but to the religious world in general,
although we seek to make application to the restoration movement.
Last July we dealt with "The Basis of Authority" and its
relationship to matters such as instrumental music. In July,
1967, we will be writing in depth on "The Restoration Principle."
We will transcend little petty quarrels to inquire if the
principle of restoration is always divisive, if it is valid in
the atomic age, and if it is possible in any age. We mention this
in advance because we know that many of our readers will await it
with interest.... This brings us to the place where we would like
to suggest that you send subscriptions for your friends. The cost
is only $1.00 per year. Include zip code in address and send to
