The Hartford Forum, an annual gathering of
free men in Christ, to discuss controversial matters honestly in
an endeavor to promote peace, will be held at Hartford, Illinois,
December 29, 30. The first meeting will be held at 2:00 p.m. on
Monday, December 29, and there will be another meeting at 7:00
p.m., on that date, with three meetings on December 30. For

program later.... Talmadge F. McNabb, whose articles have
appeared in this journal is now Senior Chaplain of the largest
hospital complex in Germany, located at Frankfurt.... Talmadge is

title Integrity, has been started by a group of residents
of Michigan. The first issue contains articles by Hoy Ledbetter,
Dean Thoroman, John Smith, David Elkins and Frank Rester. I know
these men and they are original thinkers with a lot to say that
we need to hear. Hoy Ledbetter is editor of the new monthly and

Youth stamp issues for 1968.... William S. Boice, Phoenix,
Arizona, was elected president of the North American Christian
Convention for 1970, which will be held in Saint Louis, July
7-10. James McKowen is vice-president; E. Ray Jones is secretary,
and E. Richard Crabtree is treasurer. All of these are my good
friends, as well as my brothers, and I am sure they will make a
meaningful contribution to restoration history.... Ozark Bible
College, Joplin, Missouri, has added five new teachers, making a
total of fifty-three instructors in all, for the 1969-70 school
year.... One of the most cleverly done pieces of satire we have
ever seen is a chart called "The Church of Christ Establishment"
which was compiled by Don Haymes. It lists members of the Foreign
Legion, Money Changers, Saints, Court Jesters, Blind Guides,
Colonial Governors, High Churchmen, and a lot of other members of
the power structure. Leroy Garrett and myself appear on the list

Orange Crush.... My good friend, Kenneth Stewart, has tendered
his resignation as president of Pacific Christian College, Long
Beach, California.... Dwaine Dunning delivered five lectures on
"Schism By Syllogism" at Abilene, Texas, with Mid McKnight
present for every service. At the close of the meeting Brother
McKnight issued a challenge for public debate. If you'd like to
hear the entire five lectures you can secure them on three 1800

the injury sustained by Victor Broaddus when he walked through a
glass door in San Diego, California. Brother Broaddus is a
missionary to the Philippines. Our brother, Alex Wilson, has
returned to Manila, where he will be associated with Central
Bible Institute, where Brother Broaddus also labors.... Gene and
Lenora Dulin, of Toronto, Canada, are now behind the iron
curtain, visiting with and assisting Christians in
Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Yugoslavia.... The
College Chapel congregation and the Valley Forge congregation,
King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, have merged and are now meeting in
the building of the latter.... Dudley Lynch is no longer editor
of Christian Chronicle, a Sweet Publishing Company
periodical, at Austin, Texas.... Barry Willbanks received the S.
T. B. degree from Harvard, graduating cum laude, and
winning the Billings Prize for preaching. He has been appointed a
University Fellow at Princeton, where he will pursue his Ph.D.
program with a major in ethics under Paul Ramsey.... Forty-two
college-career young people who are members of Operation
Concern spent the summer working on projects from Alaska to
Mexico.... We are grateful to our brother in Australia, E. P. C.
Hollard, for sending us a first day cover with stamps
commemorating the 50th anniversary of labor organizations in his
country.... With the death of Brother T. Miller, the congregation
at Kilbirnie, Ayrshire, Scotland, ceased to meet after 53 years
of continued existence. He was the last male member in the little
group, and the sisters in Christ who remained are now worshiping
with the saints at Dalmellington.... We have read with pleasure
the new paperbound book "Sermons to Foster Faith" by J. J.
Musick, Elizabethton, Tennessee.... Walter Short was awarded a
special certificate by Missouri University for his work in
establishing Adult Basic Education classes in the ghetto area.
Walter is laboring with Training Center for Service, one of the
most effective centers in the black community in Saint Louis....
James C. Moore, Jr., has been named the new president of Columbia
Christian College, to succeed Robert H. Rowland who resigned
January 1. The school is located at Portland, Oregon.... We would
