Mrs. Norvel Young was the featured speaker at the Women's Day celebration at Pacific Christian College, Long Beach, California.... A two page center spread in GO for March, featured an article entitled, "Allen Isbell Discusses War and Conscience." Our good friend, Ellmore J. Gilstrap, Box 173, Turner, Oregon 97392, has published a paperback volume called "The Holy Spirit is the Promise." The cost is only $1.00 per copy.... The Fellowship for Racial and Economic Equality will sponsor a Men's Clinic at the Pittsylvania Christian Service Camp, near Chatham, Virginia, September 25, 26, on the theme "The Power of Newness." The 1970 encampment at Arrowhead of Ball Lake in Indiana will be held August 2-23. The theme is "Serving in the Seventies." The Kendallville congregation has planned a proclamation campaign for September 10-25 with Paul Osborne, editor of the Decatur (Ill.) Tribune as speaker. Volunteers are needed to aid in personal evangelism, and from the group of workers it is hoped to find concerned saints who will volunteer their services for a similar program abroad. The study in depth in which I engaged at Newport, Oregon, brought together brethren from various segments of the restoration movement, in both the evening and morning sessions. It was my privilege to speak three times in the high school at Toledo. Bob Church labors with the congregation which sponsored the meeting and it may be that we will plan another such season of Biblical investigation.... I will address the Christian Missionary Fellowship Luncheon at Centenary Methodist Church, July 8, during the North American Christian Convention in Saint Louis. The theme will be "The Two Keys to Mission" and special music will be brought by "The Revolutionaries," from Roseburg, Oregon.... The William Rees family will soon be back in Hong Kong to continue their work of faith.... Pepperdine College was given a rare copy of John Wycliffe's translation of the New Testament as the 100,000th volume for the college library.... We found the May 8 issue of Christianity Today very interesting.... Logan Fox is scheduled for two talks at the North American Christian Convention on "How To Love People You Don't Like" and "Drunk, Mad, or Filled With the Spirit." Gary Freeman will speak to the College-Career Banquet group on "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Heaven".... Students interested in the work that Shiloh is doing with children in the New York metropolitan area may receive Reach Out free each month. This program includes a year-round ministry in seven areas of New York and New Jersey, in which college students can become involved in the lives of children in the ghetto and impoverished areas.
