I will be at Southside Church of Christ, 2875 Meadowview Road, Sacramento, California, November 18-20. This meeting will constitute an intensive study of fellowship within the restoration movement. The evening meetings start at 7:30 o'clock, and the subjects will be The Fellowship of the Spirit; Battering Down Factional Walls; and Peace in Our Time. There will be morning and afternoon sessions on November 19, 20 in which I will field questions directly from the audience. We urge all to attend. For information write W. L. Jessup at the above address or call him at 422-1123.... Brethren whose hearts pound faster at the thought of taking the message to Montevideo, Uruguay, are asked to write about it to Allen Dutton, Caixa Postal 604, Porto Alegre, R. G. S., Brazil.... Our brother, J. E. Jones, Jr., 4630 Lord Road, San Antonio, Texas 78220, wants to send you a free copy of his book entitled "God's Women." Write him at once and tell him you saw it mentioned in MISSION MESSENGER.... Here is a special offer for those of you who are working with culturally deprived and poverty-stricken children. Elma Garrison, P.O. Box 103, Farmington, N. M. 87401, will make available to such children upon your request a copy of "Golden Moments in the Lives of Children, Volume 2," without cost. Do not request this wonderful little book for those who are able to purchase it, and do not ask for copies to leave on the shelf.... My commendation to David and Peggy Scates for their wonderful work with the Navajo people at Red Mesa, Arizona. Terrific!... Our commendation also to B. E. Junkins who says more in his bulletin "The Mission Bay Christian" than most others do in theirs.... Gerald S. Bash, Ragon Flannery and Ben Merold have been added to the teaching staff at Pacific Christian College. I know them all and they will be excellent in this new area of service.... The Banner of Truth, edited by our brother, Fred 0. Blakely, at 3805 Highway Avenue, Highland, Indiana 46322, now has a Korean edition, edited by Jonathan M. D. Kwon of Seoul, which averages 30,000 copies per month.... Here is an announcement that many of you have been waiting for. The four-page folder containing my talk on "Koinonia -- And the Church Now" is back in print once more. You can receive the number of copies that you will actually use for the Master, if you will write to William H. Hall, Sixth Street, Snow Shoe, Pa. 16874. These need to be sown broadcast on the college campus.... A. V. Mansur, Route 3, Box 278, Galt, California 95632, wants to send you absolutely free a packet of challenging material, much of which you will want to use and share. Just write and ask for it and tell him that you saw it in MISSION MESSENGER.... Have you written to Vernon Hurst, P.O. Box 823, Powell, Wyoming 82435, for helpful material in making the cause grow in your community? If you haven't, you are invited to do so at once.... Willard and Virginia Vanderford, 12021 East 35th Street South, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145, have written an interesting book on the second coming of our Lord which they call, "I Come As a Thief." Their thesis is the Christ will come "as a thief" not in bodily form, but in invisible manifestation, and will begin a spiritual reign with his saints. He will come in person at the last trump.... The Gospel Guardian presented a 48 page edition in August on the theme of fellowship. Not all of the writers agreed with my thinking, a fact which several mentioned. You may obtain a copy by sending 35c to P.O. Box 470, Lufkin Texas 75901. Tell the brethren you read it in MISSION MESSENGER.... The Record

is printed by my brother, Marvin Steffins, P.O. Box 325, Texarkana, Texas 75501. It consists of photographic reproductions from the The Congressional Record and other Government Printing Office documents. It deals with youthful dissent, pornography, communism, obscenity, and a lot of other things, you need to know about. It will shake you up, my brethren, and that is good!... We hope to see many of you at Clinton, Illinois, October 5-9, when we will again be in a series of studies with brethren of all backgrounds each night. There will be day sessions in which we will discuss any questions that are raised. For information call Winston Zastrow, at (217) 935-3139.... October 12-16 I will be at Hillcrest Christian Church, 1130 Hillcrest Road, Bedford, Indiana. In addition to the night meetings we will have studies each morning and I will speak at a number of schools and civic meetings in the area. For information call John Gillum at 279-3994 or 279-4385. All of these meetings are open to all who love the Lord. Please do not forget the series of meetings at Genesee Church of Christ, 4381 East Stanley Road, Flint, Michigan. For a full program of activities contact Frank Rester, P.O. Box 1205, Flint, Michigan 48501, or call him at (313) 653-5951. Make your plans to come and be with us!... At the end of the year all of the papers for 1970 will be bound in a beautiful book to be called "Our Living Pattern." If you order in advance of publication (before March 1, 1971) we will mail you a copy for $2.67, and pay the postage. Please reserve the copies that you want now and we will bill you when the books are sent... Our brother, Bertrand Smith, engaged in a dialogue at San Felipe Neri Catholic Church, Valparaiso, Chile, with Sr. Gustavo Felten. Roman Catholic priest; and Sr. Gunter Friedlander, a rabbi of the Jewish community. The theme was "The Bible for Men of Today" and the meeting was attended by more than a hundred men including many evangelicals and several Mormon missionaries. This is good, Bertrand!... The article on "The Name Pattern in our August issue aroused more comment than anything else we have written in a long time. Three of our readers resented it so much they asked to have their names taken off our list. We will miss them.... I have just finished reading two books. One was Robert Louis Stevenson, a biography of the poet. I was motivated to read it because of the epitaph he wrote for his tomb. The other was Moody, by J. C. Pollock. It was the story of Dwight L. Moody, the first of the great mass-appeal evangelists. It was very interesting. Moody said, "Give me a faith that has legs so it can get up and go!"... I want to commend my good brother in the Lord, Edwin Hayden, for the exceptionally good special number of Christian Standard, August 23, covering the North American Christian Convention, held in St. Louis. The convention next year will be in Dallas, Texas, July 6-9 and the chairman of local arrangements will be Ronnie R. Hanna, dean of Dallas Christian College. All of the men selected to lead in various departments of service in connection with the convention are outstanding....The Hartford Forum, held annually in Hartford, Illinois, will be conducted this year on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 29 and 30, with the initial meeting on the afternoon of December 29. Meals will be served without obligation to those attending on the evening of December 29 and the afternoon and evening of December 30.... In 1971 I will be devoting the entire year to writing on the implications of Romans 8. This will be an expository study and the resultant book will be titled One Great Chapter. It will probably be the most exciting study that we have ever conducted!
