In my recent series of studies at Logan, Kansas, it was my privilege to
meet brethren from all segments of the restoration movement. One entire day was given over to
answering questions from the audience. These covered a wide range of topics of current
interest.... In Yellowgrass, Saskatchewan, I spoke three times to young people from four
provinces and as many states, and conducted an open question forum for those in Senior High
Schools in the two countries. By invitation of the Southern Saskatchewan Missionary Society I
addressed two meetings in Regina, held at the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) on the
subject of unity in Christ. The meetings were all attended by brethren from the several wings of
our fragmented movement, and several members of the Anglican clergy were at the Regina
gatherings.... It is our sincere hope that we may meet many friends of the gospel at the meeting
with Highland Church of Christ, Louisville, Kentucky, June 7-11. The evening theme is
"Changed Lives in a Changing World." There will be open forums each morning, June 8-11. If
you know of those who are in that area please call them and urge them to come.... August 2-6 I
will be back in Oregon at Camp Wi-Ne-Ma, and special encounters are being set up with the
high school and college young people each day, as well as with the hundreds who will be

miss this one!... The Sixth Annual Unity Forum, which will be held this year on the campus of
Atlanta Christian College, is an honest attempt to bring together men of reputation presenting all
of the diverse views in the restoration brotherhood. It is scheduled for July 1-3, and the list of
speakers indicates that it will be a very healthy discussion. I will be speaking and hope to see
you there.... One of the outstanding Missouri meetings this year could well be the preaching and
teaching convocation to be held at Eldon, Missouri, November 16, 17. The theme is "The Holy
Spirit" and I will join Seth Wilson, Gareth Reece and Russell Boatman in a thorough
investigation of the theme. Since there will be a number of workshops in addition to the public
addresses, this will be a real opportunity to explore a theme of tremendous interest. I will speak

ask for one.... We are saddened to report the departure of a brother in the Lord, William Chester
Ruth, Ercildown, Pennsylvania.... Our brother, Reuel Lemmons wrote an editorial in Firm
Foundation, in which he advanced the outworn idea that the question of instrumental music
could be settled by the argument for silence of the scriptures. I examined his thesis point for
point and took up the Scriptures which he employed and showed their abuse. The entire thesis is
available to you without charge, upon request, in a 12-page booklet. Just ask for the "Facing the
Issues" reprint.... Darrell Bolin now has an open study and discussion class going in the YMCA
in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, which is attracting a great deal of local attention. It is reaching
many business and professional people.... There are two books by Michael Green that all of you
ought to read. They are paperback editions of Man Alive ($1.25), and Runaway
World ($1.50). They will help you put your finger on what it is all about. If you'll send us

April 12-16 in Kifisia, a resort area near Athens.... There were 83 persons who received degrees

sorry to report the death of a pioneer preacher, J. T. Crittenden, who passed away in Austin,
Texas, a few days before his 104th birthday. He enrolled in Abilene Christian College when he
was 80 years old.... Representatives from Disciples of Christ, Christian Churches, and Churches
of Christ, were involved in setting up the meetings in which I explored the question of
fellowship in Christ, for five nights, in the North High School Auditorium in Phoenix, Arizona.
Daytime question forums were held in their respective meetingplaces. I appeared on two radio
and two television interviews. Brethren cut across all lines to attend the series, and despite the
fact that questions asked publicly were on controversial themes, not one untoward incident
occurred. Arrangements are now under discussion for implementation of suggestions made for
demonstration of the unity created by the Spirit.... We would like to mention again that we can
furnish you a copy of the large "History of the Church through the Ages," by the late Robert
